Windows on Arm - soft crashes with DX12 error

Pipo W12 with Snapdragon 850 and Lenovo IdeaPad 4G with Snapdragon 8C can crash shortly after entering the world with a character - either “soft” crash when the game “disappears” and then re-appears, usually with worse FPS. The “gx” log for this is attached below. I managed to get this on Classic Era as well as 10.0.0 PTR.

And on PTR when landing on first FP in Bastion I got a hard crash where it tries to re-start but fails and gives up (and each subsequent attempt to log in on the character causes this crash again):

For PTR this seems to be related to new zones, as in old zones I did not get this problem. In Classic Era it happened pretty quickly in Orgrimmar but rarely when in Durotar.

Probably the game tries to use some DX12 call that is not supported by Qualcomm chip :wink:

I think it has something to do with the complexity of the scene (or the number of models). In scenarios where the number of models is low, it takes a long time (or no chance) for the DX12 failure to occur. But in complex scenes with many models, the failure of DX12 may occur very quickly, even just entering the game.
