I keep getting booted from wow. Its saying Your windows Insider build ran into a problem and needs to restart. Stop code: System_service_exception. What faileed: win32kfull.sys
any ideas how to fix this? i’m on Windows 11.
Unfortunately, Windows Insider builds aren’t supported by Blizzard, only release versions.
buenas, a mí también me sucede lo mismo, en todo caso que tendría que hacer, regresar a Windows 10? cabe mencionar que después de la última actualización de Windows 11 empezó a suceder este problema , ya desinstale la actualización y error persiste
Running insider dev preview and just started getting this issue as well. Will likely have to wait for MS to fix or roll back to current release builds.
Since I updated my windows too, my Windows is also Insider Previewer. I’ve done every possible procedure: reset windows, chkdsk, sfc scannow… Nothing solved the problem. Interestingly, I identified that the BSOD only appears when I move the mouse cursor. In addition, the problem is also intermittent, there are times when it is possible to play normally. The errors are SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, the file is win32kfull.sys.
If I format the PC to Windows 10 without Insider Previewer, is it sure that this problem will be eliminated?
Just read the microsoft forum for this specific issue and yes because
it is cutting edge preview of Windows then OEM system providers will not
have any drivers for it for a while.
What is your pc? Home custom built or a DELL?
Confirming this is a Microsoft issue. The system driver in question was updated in the 25188 build of Windows 11 Insider Preview Developer branch, and is now no longer working with WoW. I have Insider Preview on my main desktop and laptop, and both are having this issue, it happens as soon as you move the mouse after logging into the world. Character select and other items work normally. This is only an issue with WoW, and from the feedback above, I doubt Blizzard will look at this. I deleted the rollback files on my machine this morning, so all I can do is fresh install, which is going to take about 6 hours. This is likely NOT going to be fixed in the next Dev build as these are probably changes getting staged for release by Microsoft. It may be in our best interest to roll back to Beta build or go to mainstream release.
Blizzard really ought to look at this and fix it, because it’s almost certainly coming and will almost certainly result in the same issue on release of this updated version of Windows.
i have been having this same issue, and i fixed it. this is what i did….
download the app WinDbg from the microsoft store, you will use this to analyze .dmp files
open WinDbg… search for it in your windows search bar, it will pop up as WinDbg Preview… right click and run as administrator
once the program is open press file… start debugging… open dump file… click browse…
click this pc… local disk C:… windows… minidump… now find a .dmp file that matches the last time your computer crashed… click open…
now on the command window click in the text bar at the bottom next to 9: kd>… type in… !analyze -v
let it do its thing……
when its done scroll up in the command window until you see the line STACK_TEXT:
above that you will see a file name under
PROCESS_NAME:
for me the file was SteelSeriesGG.exe
this file will be what is causing your wow to crash… so i just ended the task by pressing ctrl+alt+del in the task manager and so far my wow hasn’t been crashing… i hope this helps everyone!
game crashed again… now its
iCUE.exe ughhhh
Same issue here. Since we’re running Insider Preview builds, I think we just need to ride it out. And report it to the Insider Preview feedback, of course.
everything seems to be working again when i close SteelSeriesGG.exe and iCUE.exe
I debugged all the files now that I had a minute. Mine is Discord crashing WoW, which is GSOD/BSOD’ing the computer.
Posted the bug in feedback and provided a link to MS here: 25198 - World of Warcraft GSOD/BSOD : Windows11 (reddit.com)
Man, I was starting to think this was a hardware issue. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. I am able to run WoW like 90% of the time, but it is very frustrating when it crashes.
I don’t have iCue or Steelseries GG installed, so it must just be a random driver/memory instruction that crashes under different software each time.
I recommend reporting to Microsoft since Blizz doesn’t support insider builds or develop for them at all.
FWIW, when I ran through these steps, the process that failed for me was WowVoiceProxy.exe
I wasn’t running Discord, and don’t have Steelseries GG or iCUE installed.
I followed the colleague’s suggestion above with WinDBG. For me it worked with some .exe . One AMD executable and another was discord. Usually when I open the computer I close this AMD executable and then I can play normally. Another .exe that causes this problem is Discord. I suggest not opening discord before the game. If the problem is in the Windows 11 build, I suggest you do a clean reinstallation of Windows, changing your build to Beta user, or even reverting to Windows 10. If anyone still has the problem, don’t hesitate to contact us at this topic.
Reinstalling Windows 11 to get off the Dev build would take me at least 20 hours of work to reconfigure all the stuff installed for development, 3d printing, CAD. No way I’m reinstalling. Blizzard, Discord and Windows can fix this (guessing any one of the 3 can fix it).
Unfortunately this will not resolve the problem. I did it…
Nope, only Microsoft can fix issues with their insider builds since that is not a supported OS for Blizzard games.
I uninstalled all my extra apps I have not used that run in the background.
I do not need all those mouse.keyboard stuff down on the system tray next to the clock… as if I want to fiddle with them every single moment of the day.
