Haven’t had any issues running it with win 11. But YMMV.

Would suggest staying on Windows 10 for now, the new scheduler and virtualized security are bugged as heck, the new start menu is a weird advertising scam, and the ui is bugged to heck. Basically it is an early beta and also a test bed for monetizing the OS search bar.
But if you have a new unit with W11 already installed and don’t know how to do a fresh install, WoW will mostly boot and run, just at radically lower performance and stability with certain cache configurations.

Going fine so far. Have some random stuttering, but everything is great otherwise. Just turn off the random garbage that comes with startup. Though I bought a new PC and didn’t upgrade from w10.
Always best to wait for the first major update release with a new operating system if you don’t have a pressing need to upgrade.

I have been using win 11 since it launched , no problems till now.
I’m not having any issues on my machine. I’ve been playing on W11 for a couple of weeks.

Sure, let me go through the hassle of wiping my stuff and setting it all back up because some random internet author said it can lead to a happier life. Nevermind the fact that a wipe is essentially the “I give up, I can’t figure out the problem and have exhausted every option” step to take during troubleshooting.
Actually, the article starts off by stating a wipe/reset is for troubleshooting and nothing in the article itself speaks to its “reset once a year for happiness” title. At all.
That is one of the dumbest pages I have ever been linked to on these forums.

Yep, sounds legit.
My computer runs like a champ, because I treat it like a champ. Wipe it yearly? You can if you want, but my computer works fine without it.

I’ve been running Windows 11 for weeks now without any issue with WoW, FFXIV, or City of Heroes.
Very likely but chances are, you won’t get a experience compared to Windows 10, which has more optimization over its life now than what 11 has accomplished since its release. With many bugs and glitches, they just managed to fix a performance issue with AMD CPU users but you cannot imagine what other problems are involved too.
I’d wait until Windows 10 is on its death bed if I were you. I know I did that for Windows 7 because 10 was all problems and no benefits until I made the switch.
I’ve been in software engineering for my entire adult life (and most of my teenage years). I am not aware of a single person that wipes their PC yearly. Nor have I ever heard such nonsense before lol.
Anyways, as for the topic, I don’t think Windows 11 is all that much of a serious upgrade? I’ve seen almost nobody talking about it - not like when people went from 7 to 8 or 8 to 10.
With that said, I’m not moving to 11 for a while.

That advice might be ok for Grandma who doesn’t know anything about computers but manages to install a bunch of weird stuff and addware, toolbars, etc. Changes random unrelated settings in an attempt to fix it before calling her poor grandson to come fix it. MAYBE she should reset her PC once a year.
Otherwise…total malarkey.

You’re a liar if you claim you never heard of this, your companys IT support very much likely does this all the time, it’s literally a last resort
