Anyone ready for it? It’s free upgrade with a valid windows 10 key
Nope, not ready. I need to upgrade my MB as it’s not TPM 2.0 and doesn’t have secure boot. I’m gonna be sticking with 10 for the time being.
Oh goody, i’m so excited for it, that you’ve reminded to look up on google on how to find a way to block the free upgrade screens just in case MS wants to force them again. Can’t wait to see what they do with the “decline” button… /s
Plus i don’t have TPM 2.0 on my Ryzen 7 3800XT (i think) anyways, so i’m sticking with 10 anyways.
Hmm … free? Maybe.
I remember when I got Windows 8.1 for free and it was really weird and I didn’t like how so much was different. Maybe I’ll stay at level 10.
I’m happy with 10 and not in a hurry to upgrade. That said, I can remember being blissfully happy with 7. Change inevitably happens.
Are you required to be vaccinated to get it???
None of the promised gaming changing features work… why would anyone upgrade?
I might upgrade my ThinkPad X1 Nano right away since it’s not doing anything important or performance critical, mainly because I like most of the UI changes — Metro/Modern/whatever you want to call the flat-color-sharp-corner look brought in by Windows 8 was never my favorite, and while 11’s new look isn’t perfect it’s a solid improvement and it seems like MS is finally putting some effort into getting look+feel consistent across the OS and other MS apps.
Might hold off on upgrading the gaming desktop though since games tend to be more sensitive to major OS release.
I had no trouble upgrading to Windows 10 in 2015 using 2014 hardware. I now have 2020 hardware. I expect no trouble upgrading to Windows 11.
i’ll pass on 11, for 5 years…maybe 10…i mean…win 7
it still is being used…
don’t stop something that isn’t broken.
You do know that coming next expansion blizzard isn’t supporting windows 7 right
You’ll have to upgrade inevitable
TPM 2.0
Secure boot
DEP
UEFI MAT
on Windows 10. Why do we need Windows 11?
