We are getting one immersion breaking set, yes.
But BfA gave us transmoggable fish and that didn’t remove transmog rules.
It’s possible that this might be nothing but an exception to the rule.

No problem. Dressing light isn’t immersion breaking. You would lose protection, but you would also lose weight and be able to move and dodge better.
Have you seen the basic Horde Warrior uniform? It’s mostly nothing with metal shoulderpads lol
It’s not an immersion problem for an adventurer to be adventuring with an explorer outfit. Exploring is a type of adventure! But an adventurer adventuring in pajamas is a tad weird lol

I was more like… Wendigo onesie? who runs Blizzard now? Some 19 year old that just plays Fortnite or something? My tauren pally (who is a tank) can literally transmog all of her armor off (excluding pants) and mog the pants into the heritage armor ones, which is basically underwear.
Now THAT is immersion breaking.
