Exactly what patch was the windfury 3 sec ICD added? It was a stealth nerf so it’s not in patch notes but I specifically remember testing it out in TBC sometime and never got a windfury proc within 3 seconds of another one even with fast weapons. So I know it was in TBC at one point, I just don’t remember what patch it was.
the internal cool down was added in vanillla so it couldn’t have a rare infinity proccing of wf off of wf not tbc

Windfury had 2 nerfs before the patch that Classic will be based on was live.
It had the internal cd added so it couldn’t proc off itself. It had its damage nerfed.
So it’s pretty much not even worth rolling enhance in classic with the %50 ap nerf and ICD… My interest in classic has pretty much off the cliff.
I was also wondering because someone on the last classic stress test was saying they remember getting chain windfury procs in TBC and I was like uhh… no you weren’t. Telling me they played since beta and that makes them right…
if you want tot raid no enhancement was only for pvp mostly but let this change your mind.if this doesnt look fun then dont play a enhancement shaman.
Were those videos pre or post nerfs though, there’s a big difference.
then play what everyone else is going to play a rogue and a mage if all you care about is being op.
I don’t only care about being OP, enhance has been my favorite spec since TBC, and if I did only care about being OP I would have changed mains a long azz time ago. But I do want to be viable and those nerfs are way past that… they’re to the ground.
dont play an enhancement shaman in classic then.they are not viable by your standards the classes that are viable are rogue,mage,spriest,hunter warrior when you have raid gear.
my advice for you is NOT to play enhancement until they come out with a tbc server.
You could chain Windfury in TBC. You’d use a downranked WF on your offhand weapon since they didn’t share the same ICD.
edit: This was apparently fixed in patch 2.1.
the real trick in tbc was rank 3 on main hand and rank 2 on off hand.if you did rank 3 on both hands you couldnt prock wf as much.
