This is an odd thing to say in a video game. It’s supposed to be fun, Metro, not work.
I really hope you don’t see WoW as work.

Not to mention, everyone thinks we all do the same things in the game and have the same wants. Not everyone is interested in pushing raiding content and PvE in general, and when someone mentions having fun doing something else, they get berated. It’s obnoxious, but eh. At this point, I’m used to seeing it.
(This isn’t directed toward Metro though. Mostly those that say it and put others down)
I didn’t take what he said as a put down or slam in any way. What I read was that he - may - see this game as work.
Idk why anyone would take what he said as an insult or whatever.
You mean the devs?
I didn’t. Wasn’t directed to him, was directed to the “work work work, me me me” mentality in general.
Matter of gameplay issues, yes. And I’m not denying that aspect is in a bad spot right now, I’m not happy either about it. Hoping in 8.2 something positive changes.
Where do I report the OP for putting a poll into a post…could have sworn that was against the forum rules…
Seriously though, I am looking forward to doing DMF this month, looks like there will be fun things to do.
Well what if he likes work? Some people do like work for some reason…
Hmm… he could get paid to stream, so technically it really would be “work” in that sense.
Can Darkmoon Faire have a Pet Sematary? And a drain with a Red Balloon floating in it?
Then I guess that’s his version of fun for him. Good point.
Still, it’s American culture to pound into your kids “work” because “success” and that’s the end all be all and you can see it in others and then you see it in yourself and it pisses you off because there’s lots of fun & adventure ingame and IRL yet we miss out on that because “work” “work” “work”, hoping for that “success” that never really comes.
Jaquestiney, I really did have a shorter answer for you. Ah well.
nah ive had my FAIRE share of vomiting during this xpac already
I will totally ride it!!! I think it sounds like fun and it is about time the Dark Moon Faire got a new ride!
Already rode it on the PTR before patch 8.1.5 hit. It was underwhelming imo, which was kind of disappointing. I’ll go with option 5 since IRL roller coasters do give me motion sickness, and i do plan on sticking with the carousel since it gives the WHEE! buff faster.
I’m excited about the new DMF balloon pets though!
Going to hook up to the big screen TV, zoom in all the way, and see if I can give myself motion sickness on the roller coaster!
You won’t have to farm rep with the Darkmoon Carneys first?
I won’t unless they remove the buff from the carousel.
Gonna stick to the carousel. Something about seeing my characters falling causes me to feel nauseas. (And it’s not just WoW. Happens when I play GW2 too.)
Then no- why would I waste the time on an entire roller coaster when I can just hop on and off the other ride?
It’s kind of like why would I want to GO BACK TO LONG TRAVEL OVER OLD ZONE EXPANSES WHEN WE HAD PERFECTLY GOOD PORTALS IN PLACE?!
Stacking buff or you just wasted waaaay too much time on something that obviously cost us an actually desirable feature because “that would cost time and therefore raid tier” is your answer to everything.
SOMETHING could have “cost” us this “feature” NOBODY ASKED FOR!
The roller coaster is a nice addition but why not add in a dungeon that has a few bosses? Make it look like a scary fun house?
Instead of dropping gear, have the bosses drop Darkmoon Faire prize tickets and then all levels can queue for it. 5 or 10 tickets per boss. Can be run each day the faire is up. Easy peasy!
Can I drink on it? If so I’m all for it, need that sweet xp boost to help level through tired zones.
I always hit up the faire and work on an alt or two a day to help them level a wee bit faster, so the carousel or roller coaster, makes no different, need the xp boost and a couple xp hats.
