Will you primarily play classic?

Since the classic requires a lot of time to level, gear and farm for raids, is your plan to give up on retail?

quit retail 8 years ago tbh fam.

Stopped playing retail just under a month ago, and probably won’t be playing for a while. Definitely going full Classic when it’s released.

I haven’t played retail seriously since WoD; I was only very casual and took two long breaks during Legion and I’ve quit completely for BfA.

So yes, I’ll be a Classic-only player.

For a while, at least. I’ll probably start with a warlock, and see where that takes me.

Yes, I have tried over and over to play constantly since WoD… Doesn’t happen. I always end up quitting because its terrible.

Classic is all I will be playing. 24/7. no other games probably, I will probably not touch BFA with a 10 foot pole.

I only ever played classic. Will be coming back after 14 years.

Without a doubt. I played a bit of legion and while being able to level in almost any zone order was interesting I didn’t like that warrior become a proc based class, Flying got old fast, and the challenge outside of mythic was removed. Classic can’t come fast enough.

It will be a side thing. I will not have any alts on the classic server though so whoever I create there will have my Classic-time attention given.

This has been asked and answered many times. Virtually no one wants to play retail anymore. My whole group is coming back to play Classic. Retail is going to be a ghost town when Classic is released, hell, retail is already a ghost town. If you somehow like retail, more power to you for liking a shiny pile of poop.

Yes. I miss the days of classic WoW. I started playing during Wrath and it was so much more fun. So much simpler. I understand the desire to keep adding more to game, keep the player always working on something to keep them attached to the game… but more is not always better. I liked being able to sign on and just quest. Or just farm. I enjoyed the fact that professions actually meant something. As a tailor (and I’ve been quite vocal about this as have many others), I’ve put hundreds of hours and thousands- if not millions- of gold into my profession over the years. And for what? That’s the killer for me. Since I don’t raid and I’m not in a guild, farming and profession leveling are mainly what I play for. And it’s hard to do that anymore. I’m looking forward to being able to go back and do just that with Classic.

So to answer the question… will I primarily play Classic? I suppose it depends on what they do with it. So long as the experience remains the same or similar, this may be my chosen route. Or I may switch between the two- if I get tired of playing Classic, I may switch back over to BfA until I get sick of that and switch back. We’ll see

Give up on? Haven’t had a retail subscription since mid-Cataclysm, and I regret that I didn’t quit immediately upon the release of the WotLK patch that added the dungeon queue.

meh depends.

Depends on if they fix their issues in 8.2. The expansion is one of the worst. I waited to see if BFA would be any good and I’m glad I did and no holiday sale is going to tempt me until I see improvement.

If they fix their issues I’ll probably play a little of both. Same sub cost.

I’m not playing retail at the moment, so once Classic drops that’s most of what I’ll be playing.

I might take like a day to check out new content when they do a patch in retail. I’d play it again more if they fixed some things.

I played vanilla, BC and early Wrath for the game and the people. Late wrath and on when I was subbed… I played for the people. The game wasn’t ruined for me, but it just wasn’t as good. Not to mention dailys… good god am I sick of dailys and world quests. In vanilla if you need to grind rep and you have to miss a day for work or family it’s no big deal, you can make up the time later if you want. In retail… if you miss a day, you just missed out. period. Not to mention as a raider you feel like you pretty much have to do many of them, every day… every single day if you want to stay competitive. I look forward to ogrila. That was fun, and not necessary. Other than that no dailys ever again please.

I quit playing for real about 2 weeks into Cata. I’ve been buying xpacs and leveling to max level and then quitting again since. I really tried giving BFA a try…I hated it and unsubbed again. I will only be playing classic.
