Will You Be BDK Main Tank in S3?

This is asinine, and literally the same argument every class makes when asking for more utility. DK’s have a good amount of utility. They could use some help in damage, but the issue isn’t utility. The issue is pugs who are lemmings to the meta even when they don’t run keys where it even matters.

Well whether or not it’s people being lemmings, I think most M+ groups prefer to have a lust on the team. Given that m+ requires a lot of fat cutting, if a class offers some abstract utility like grip, or just being generally tanky so they don’t die as quickly to hazards, or being able to outright ignore some of them it doesn’t matter much if the damage isn’t there. Lust is a surefire way to at least guarantee a spot even for off-meta classes.

I agree it’s an inelegant solution. But outside of DKs getting a huge DPS boost in the next season, I don’t see them doing very well in M+ pugging for the duration of the xpac. Even if they’re “just fine” right now, “just fine” doesn’t cut it for the majority of players unfortunately. Not unless they bring something that is required.

This is ludicrous considering spec isn’t even relevant until you get into upper keys that about 5-10% of the player base runs.

From my experience, I’ve hit a roadblock at 16 or above as I’ve said. I’ve found very few groups willing to take me as a DPS DK. As a tank, I’ve managed to easily secure groups.

It’s not that DK cannot do enough DPS at those keys or higher. But people don’t seem to want them.

It’s because there is (and always has been) an overabundance of dps trying to get into keys. Every dps outside of the meta struggles to pug every season.

Maining? No. My main will still be my Druid.

But I’m starting to get this guy some catchup gear so that I can play him in season 3. And yes, I’ll be tanking.

In PVP? Hell yes!
