I’m an idiotic noob here.
I understand apparently allegedly you can queue for all content (PvP, Heroic raids, M+) with a friend of the opposite faction.
But can you in dragonflight level/be with them and quest and do open world stuff with them?
And kinda similar lines of thought… will open world stuff even matter in dragonflight realistically?
And if we can’t group up, can an alliance dwarf/worgen use a horde warlock portal?
Any content that is queueable cannot be done in a cross faction group. Only premade content and some open world content. I have no idea if it’s possible to party sync cross faction groups. There are a lot of faction specific quests across multiple expansions.

You can’t communicate through text or share quests but if you are voice chatting you can fight mobs in the open world and both get kill credits, so for the most part yes, but you can’t queue for dungeons together. You can create your own cross-faction dungeon groups though.
I think I see D: awww ;~;
So for cross faction dungeon groups that would mean a warlock could theoretically summon them or have them help summon ppl at least right?
Yes, you can use the group-finder to join any cross-faction group (the leader has to enable cross-faction queuing) and you and your friend would have to manually enter those instances for heroic raids and M+. An Alliance friend of mine has been raiding with my Horde friends since they enabled limited cross-faction play; sometimes it’s glitchy but as long as the opposite faction player is on your friends list, it works.
No, you can not auto-queue for LFR/LFD/RBG/Arena as cross-faction is not currently possible in the automatic-queue system; only for manual groups that go to a raid/dungeon entrance and walk in.
Probably, I never tried this but if they’re on your friends list, there doesn’t seem to be anything faction-specific in the Dragon Isles from L60-70. I’m not sure that leveling from 1-60 in Chromie Time works cross-faction either, but that seems less likely to work as there was faction-specific stuff in many of the old quests (I know for sure the Game Director said the Battle of Dazar A’lor raid will not work cross-faction for now).
You can group up (as long as on your friends list) and once in a group you can be summoned by a warlock. We do this in the mostly Horde raid I run on weekends to teleport the Alliance player to the instance if they weren’t near the manual entrance.

This is false, anything you can walk into, you can run cross faction. The only cross faction Qable content is rated PVP i believe.
You can run open world cross faction because faction tagging is gone. BUT, both need to tag the mobs and the collection quests have to be done individually. Also Buffs and Heals will not work on your horde buddy.
M+, everything works, you can even trade flasks and potions i believe.
Yes and no. You can group and kill the same mobs, but you won’t share quest credit.
The answer to this question is, No. Unless you are in a instance they will still be hostile/ unfriendly. This makes outside questing together impossible, because one can not heal/ buff one another, share mounts or sharing questing credits. (So all in all, for casual solo player who just want to level up by questing with their friends, can’t. Which makes cross faction guilds or party completely useless for me.)
