So for Xmas I got my 10 year old a Meta Quest 2…. And I must say, it is just incredible. We got the Resident Evil version and it was the freakiest thing I have ever done gamewise.
The entire time I immersed myself in Resident evil 4, I kept thinking “I could see World of Warcraft doing this”.
You guys think we will ever see it? Riding a dragon in VR. Doing a raid. Doing research and PVP. Oh man, how amazing.
If it did, I would vomit all over the place attempting to play it. VR makes me sick XD

In combat, no. I’ve tried first-person view while tanking to challenge myself and it’s horrifying.

It’s not VR, but zoom your camera all the way in and play first-person; that’s a new experience.

VR is still 20 years away from being a remotely viable technology and will likely be supplanted by direct neuro-interface before it actually works well.
Strapping a monitor to your face and holding joycons is only very barely VR and it still only very barely works.
Wait till your a tank staring at croch for 10 mintues. Or having to aim shots and spells
You will see it on a console before with more shaved off spells.
That type of VR already exists.
