Will we hit 1 million HP tanks at the end of DF?

I’m seeing tanks in Liquid with 500k+ hp so what are the odds of tanks hitting 1m at the end of DF and a stat squish for next xpac?

Probably low.

Tanks at 340 ilvl generally have about 300k HP, maybe a bit more. I’m assuming the tank is sitting around 410-415 ilvl. Next mythic raid probably not gonna go from 424 to 500 ilvl, probably more like 424 to 450~460 ilvl, based on previous expansions.

If we get fated raids again and a druid stacks mastery, we might see a 1 million HP tank.

Probably not raw/unbuffed HP. Certainly 1 million with cooldowns like fort + meta. Maybe a stam trinket for good measure.

What’s wrong with a million health exactly ?

Is Liquid feeling insecure today?

We dont really need threads about “Wow celebrities”.

Well i have about 240k as a medium geared rogue for the first tier so yea i wouldnt be surprised if we see over 1m from tanks by the end of the final tier.

Honestly, extremely high. Remember, we’ve got (IIRC) quadratic growth in stats going on. If we have only three tiers but a 26 ilvl gap between each, every 13 ilvls was roughly a 20% stat boost over the previous. So with three tiers, that would be four 20% boosts, so…

1.2x
1.44x
1.728x
2.07x

In short, all stats from top tier gear now will be more than doubled by the top tier last patch gear.

(And that’s assuming they’re fully geared now, which they’re nowhere close)
And if we go to four tiers…
2.48x
2.97x

If we don’t hit 1 million hp by expansion’s end, I will be truly, utterly shocked.

Probably with buffs/pots . I can see them doing a numbers squish at the end of DF

I had 1 million heath in the Cobalt Assembly area this morning it was crazy fun. Normally I have 389k and I’m only 379 ilvl so it’s looking like maybe by the end of the expansion.

Huge meaningless numbers are dumb, why are we already back to them?

IDK, Blizzard gets really out of hand with their numbers fast. In WoD we began the game with 30k hp immediately following a squish from MoP to get away from 500k values, we were leaving it at around 450k. In Legion I think my rogue in full heroic and some titanforged to crazy quality on par with mythic pieces was sitting on like 5.5 million hp.

Rough estimates of HP values for a rogue in the best gear from expansion to expansion in pvp setup base:

Vanilla - 4.5-5k with a stam focused setup. Possibly higher.
TBC - 12k with full s4, you can dip for pve gear on the offpieces of tier 6 to have double 4 set and be at like 11k.
Wrath - 33kish in full Wrathful.
Cataclysm - 150kish.
MoP - 500k.
WoD - 425k. - Stat Squish
Legion - We began this expansion with close to 1 mil and in one tier were into 1 mil and ended it at 5.5 mil.
Battle for Azeroth - Can’t recall, didn’t play much but I think this was also post squish too from Legion. I vaguely recall around high 400s like maybe 470 and we began at like 340 from m0s in terms of item level. So it had to be a decent sized leap.
Shadowlands - Did not play after the first few weeks of m+ of season 1.

Dragonflight we shall see, currently playing mage though so hp values may differ but I’m already like above 200k pretty sure.

Keep in mind too, a big difference in Legion and why stat growth got so out of control and still does is largely because of the more expansive ways to gear all inflating the item level. It’s a bit different when you go into Wrath and entry tier best is 226 item level, and you’re in ICC Heroic which is like 277. You start Heroic dungeons in Cata at 346 item level drops, normal mode first tier is 359, Heroic being 377. You end with the highest drops off Deathwing heroic being 416. In Legion though? Holy hell what a mess, you begin at like 800 or something item level out of questing gear and end up at the highest available tier being 990ish, the fully upgraded titan relics hit 1k in high m+ with lots of titanforges out of the week chest or Mythic Antorus. There was a 45 ilvl jump per tier.

Just to start m0 dungeons are 372 ilvl, and we can in one tier attain up to 421 maybe higher just going off +20 m+ vault drop ilvl. Yeah, Item Level gonna go brrrr really quick unless they dial it in fast. If they’re as ambitious with this expansion as they claim, we very well could be breaking into 550 range by the end of this if not higher. Shadowlands was lacking in content heavily. If they seem to like to leap by 120 in Shadowlands, we are guaranteed to hit 500 from m0 to highest level m+ which has on par ilvl with end gear.

We might hit that by next patch tbh lmao

I mean, let’s think of all the different ways to gear:
Normal dungeons
Heroic dungeons
M0 dungeons
LFR Raid
Weekly box
Normal Raid
M+ low levels
Heroic Raid
M+ higher levels
Mythic Raid

And in between are world quest scalings, rares, and crafting.

There’s also valor upgrades, honor upgrades, primal storms, conquest gear and upgrades, and world pvp gear and upgrades

And each of these has to be more rewarding than the last. It’s why you’re getting like 400 level gear from a heroic raid that drops level 290 greens.

Mostly because lower numbers makes it easier to process.

As opposed to small meaningless numbers ?

Numbers have the meaning you give to them.

The number of gear sources has nothing to do with the ilvl increases.

Not you again. You didn’t even read my post.

What’s a liquid tank

I did, nothing you said is true.

Just like your “Glory helps with M+!” argument, this argument was also totally bunk and not based in reality.

Tier to Tier increases are 26 ilvls following the Shadowland models. The number of sources of gear doesn’t affect that. Mythic next tier will be 26 ilvls above Mythic this tier.

Yes and the open world content will replace heroic tier raid gear. Again, didn’t even read my post.

And yes Glory of the Dragonflight Hero does teach people how to run the dungeon and should be required before people can do M+.
