Do you think we’ll ever see something like what Netflix did for Castlevania except for wow? Where do you think a series like this would pick up from?
Would you want to seem them start as early as Warcraft orcs & humans or do you think they’d be better served to start during the events of Warcraft 3?
I think they could sum up the events of Warcraft 1 & 2 with flashbacks for context and War 3 is where a lot of the biggest characters in the lore has been established.
I’m interested to hear what others think.

Only thing I have every seen was this

Couldn’t even believe to hear how there were some deals that “fell through”.
How about FEL IT UP and GET IT DONE?
A WoW anime or TV series would just absolutely CRUSH.
Take into account how utterly multi-generational Warcraft in itself is.
Yeah, you get vid-game adapts of this that, but nothing as seeded as WoW.
Take for example, Arcane. I only know 1 person who even plays LoL and they never watched the show. But then you look at Mortal Kombat, that typically releases underwhelming shows, movies, but due to the historical legacy gains a “default” following.
I can’t even imagine where WoW can go. It should be GoT-like only in that it should be a long, expansive show, drama, characters, and all. Easily a win.
The 2.5hr movie opted to begin at the “beginning” and then left a ton out and felt like a indie film with only 5 major set pieces (in the SW throne room, in Kharazan, in Stockades, uh, outside near Burning Steppes, uh, somewhere in Orc camp in Swamp of Sorrows. That’s about it.) filling out the whole thing, like a JR HS play. Just lacked total scope. “Oh we lost 50 legions today.” “Oh.”
That was brilliant too. Need MOAR. Do we need to increase our subs $$$ or buy another $90 mount to make-it-happening???
NOOOOOO
They need to make one, put it on their YT channel, and charge $4.99 a month for access for people who want it. I am NOT about to up my output to them over a cartoon.

It’d be great to get something on the level of Arcane.
After the movie, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve been turned off any movie/show though if they wanted to do Warcraft 1 & 2 an animated show probably would have worked better.

They’d need to go back to the start of the story imo. Honor the roots of the franchise.

Absolutely from the start. They could flesh out the story so much more and give a lot more character to the heroes. Plus after all these years we’ve seen so much of the wc3 heroes and events. Very little of the earlier games. Especially the first. It would be nice to get something different.

No I believe Blizzard has too tight a fist on their IP and while they do make amazing cinematics and I’d love to see a movie or an animated series of that quality/caliber, I don’t think Blizzard will do anything like that or will they farm out that work to an outside party.
And unless they are willing to do it with the same graphic quality as Castlevania, I don’t want it in the first place.
The Artstyle doesn’t please me… Either give me the Old Cartoon Show Artstyle(Redwall, MoonDreamers, Gummy Bears, etc.) or the big Eyes from Anime Shows.
Furthermore I want Episodes to be like the Side Questlines in each Zone… They all felt like TV Show Episodes!
In otherwords random events in various Zones with a selection of important Main Characters for each Zone.

Yes and it will be based on the WoW forum. We will be the stars.
I could definitely see the Mankrik’s wife story as a standalone ep.
"Blizzard Entertainment sued Netflix for poaching an employee, which led to the cancellation of planned Netflix adaptations of StarCraft, Overwatch, and Diablo:

Netflix adaptations of StarCraft, Overwatch, and Diablo were in development, but were canceled after the lawsuit. It’s unclear how far along the adaptations were at the time of the lawsuit.
The employee who was poached was <removed the name because I don’t know forum rules on mentioning current or past Blizzard employees by name>. Activision claimed that it had the right to extend contract to four years."
The Google machine said this about Blizzard’s and Netflix’s dissolved developing of series.
Maybe Amazon or Apple could step in. Who knows.

This is what is needed. We have Arcane, Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?, Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic Underground, Sonix X, Sonic Boom, Sonic Prime, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Skylanders Academy, Castlevania, Castlevania: Nocturne, The Cuphead Show, Carmen Sandiego, Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm, Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, Ark: The Animated Series, Dragon’s Dogma, Dragon Age: Absolution and Dota: Dragon’s Blood and Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft.
Warcraft NEEDS an animated series, especially now that the franchise has turned 30.
And they’d better have the current actors from the game reprising their roles.
Who knows? It might look something like that.
Let Prime Video take over. It streams the animated Critical Role shows.

They used to make good comic books for WoW and other Blizzard stuff. Those would make great animated shows. The potential is still there.

no. they would ruin my alleria.
I’d love to see one done in motion comic style like the Harbingers series from Legion. Done as short vignettes featuring important story moments in the WoW universe.
I’d be alright with 20-30 minute long episodes in the style of the Saurfang BFA cinematics. Not sure how much it would cost to make a whole season/series like that though.
