Will we ever get a new base class that is worthy of Azeroth?

The chick in the story (you know the really hot one with silver gold & black hair that carries the blue bow) looks like a ranger, I see nothing that makes me believe she is a hunter. Her armor looks like leather, she has no pets, and her primary weapon is a bow. IDK what class she is suppose to be, but could she be a sign of a new class to come? I would love to play a ranged weapon class that doesn’t rely on pets. Not that I don’t like hunters, its just I would like to play a pure-archer ranger style class personally. More weapons would balance Azeroth, as of now there are too many casters (admitingly I always play Mages & Warlocks).
We have yet to get a truly worthy base class added to the game (base not heroic) ever. After 2 decades it would be nice if they gave us something better than a Monk. Admittingly, I know nothing of evokers I just returned after a near decade break from WOW (8 1/2 years). Upon returning I was surprised to see only one class added. Deamon Hunters were the latest and greatest when I stopped playing. I remember back then being upset we got a hero class instead of a new base class. A hero class is basically just rereleasing the same content. Back then blizzard was under attack for not treating its customers fairly. They seem to have really done well adding to the world of azeroth. I love the professions systems now. The graphics have improved as well. But still we need another class.

Is this just a passive aggressive way of complaining that they kept an option for MM to use pets?

i mean out of the box marksman is a petless ranger class. if you want a pet, you’ll have to talent into it

It has an eagle pet. It may not be the same type of controllable pet mechanically, but in terms of theme and class fantasy MM is back to being an animal/nature pet class.

having a trained animal doesn’t make it a pet. think of it like a military dog or a police dog. they aren’t pets but they do assist in their work
