Will we be able to put +30 SP on a Skinning Knife?

Which can then be traded, and sold between toons as you level them?

Because 1) Not sure that was allowed in actual vanilla and 2) even if so that is clearly an exploit.

Edit** My bad, NOT an exploit.

How is this an exploit?

if you choose to spend the money to put +30 spellpower on a skinning knife and trade it between characters that is completely within your rights.

People really use the word “exploit” very loosely around here.

“Oh no, a player 10 levels higher than me killed me in the open world on a PvP server! He’s clearly exploited the game!”

Hey, I’m not against it! Just asking if this was intended?

I am actually doing this RIGHT now. I think a level 1 with + 30 SP is SUPER funny!

And it is viable till 60.

It’s not even possible to do this on the beta for multiple reasons…

In original vanilla that enchanting recipe only dropped after Dire Maul’s release, during the honor system patch specifically. I don’t see them making this progressively itemized in Classic so it might be available early. It still requires a 60 raid group.

But yeah enchanting white weapons was common back then. People would put Fiery Blaze Enchantment (from a Badlands quest) on a fast dagger and send it to new alts.

Also when heirlooms were introduced you could only enchant them with vanilla enchants until around MoP. So +30 SP became sought after for a while.

How is this an exploit? Enchants don’t bind gear. White/Grey items aren’t typically binding of any sort. Enchanting white items still don’t bind?

Facepalm - Not on the beta. Oh boy. c’mon man…

Yes you will be able to, same with agility, crusader, fiery, etc. Always been like this, not an exploit

Before they put in enchant scaling I loved trading white gloves with the haste enchant to my new alts and watching them have +30% haste for the first 11 levels

I used to have Crusader on a level 1 Warrior twink. I don’t see why this wouldn’t work.

Certainly wouldn’t say it’s an exploit: People have done things like this for ages, and still do to this day, albeit to a much lesser extent.

If you wanna take a SP+30 Skinning Knife for a roll, that’s your prerogative.
