Will we be able to fly while leveling in Shadowlands?

At max speed or will we have to wait to level 50 before we can buy master flying?

I don’t want to do Northrend while flying slow…

They changed the riding skills to every 10 levels from level 10-40.

Level 10 would be just your basic 60% riding skill
Level 20 would be your 100% riding skill
Level 30 would be your 150% flying skill
Level 40 would be your 310% flying skill

Cost please?

Probably the same price as now. 5000 gold. I don’t think they would’ve squished the prices to get any skills, except for at level 10 where I think, I can’t fully confirm, you just get that skill automatically.

Here is a video from MrGM in regards to riding skills in Shadowlands.

Also exalted rep with your faction gives you a small discount. Hopefully that carries over in SL

Ouch, 5k at 40 sounds painful considering how hard they’re working at removing gold from the game. I hope they lower it to bring it in line with the amount of gold they’re currently giving new toons.

I wish gold could come back to being a core aspect of the game again. Sure it sucked having to go to a class trainer to learn new spells, but honestly, it felt more of a progression that way than just ding, new spell, continue. (Just as long as it isn’t ranks of spells.)

I thought it was 4500?

If they are making it cost more than all of my alts will be slowpokes :frowning:

That is the faction discount if getting exalted with the appropiate factions.

Wow. I didn’t even realize there was a discount. Which factions lower the cost then?

Stormwind for Alliance and Orgrimmar for Horde.

Or if you got exalted with Undercity you could get it with them.

And why wouldn’t you be exalted with Undercity? Best place.

Because I’m already exalted with Undercity

You are the best

so they decided to scew us over on this too. how come every time there is a change, we receive less benefit than we had. you would think after enduring BfA they would cut their customers some slack, and not be a tool this time.

so 100% will be like lvl 48, 150% will be like 72, and if 280% is the same as 310% that would be like getting it at 96 now. how generous to give us full flight just 10 levels before we lose it again.

5k at 40 for top end flight is fine, you can just use the lower versions until you have a better bank roll.

When you think about it though, leveling in Shadowlands will be 75% faster than it is now. So, does it matter on that sense?

if you use that to rationalize the fact the the developers used the squish to screw the players over yet again. that’s fine. i just don’t know why they feel the need to punish their customers on a regular basis. they could have used levels that are in proportion to how you gain riding skills now.

I am going to use an example, and it will not be accurate.

Lets just say you’re leveling a toon, without heirlooms, and it takes you lets say 30-40 minutes to get from level 40 to 60 in BfA. But then in Shadowlands, it is going to take only 15-20 minutes to get from level 20 to 30.

Would you call that exactly a punishment.

(Don’t take the minutes as estimated, they are just roughly guesses)

the point is we should get full flight at level 25 if it were proportional to where it is now. regardless of how fast leveling is, 25 to 40 is a big difference. my question is, why do they feel the need to do :poop: like this?
