Will Warcraft 1 and 2 come to Steam?

I assume GOG is all nice and stuff I just have no Games on GOG all the games i have are on Steam. Last thing i Want to do is make another account on another site just for select games. Is there any chance we will see warcraft 1 and 2 on Steam for those who Mainly/Strictly use Steam?

GoG is a fantastic company and Steam is hot salted garbage.

I’d expect some Steam user’s View GOG in the same way. I am not saying I am one of them. Just all my PC games are on Steam and its not like i can transfer all those games over from Steam to GOG .

Didn’t GOG take 1-2$ out of peoples accounts for being inactive? Lolol.

I used GOG for Rayman 3, once I downloaded it I uninstalled it haha.

BUTTT doesn’t blizzard give out Warcraft 1 and 2 for free? Isn’t it apart of their legacy thingy? Like lost Vikings is free and blackthorne.

I have GOG just for those games. i have WC1 and 2, Diablo, and Orcs vs Humans. Its not a bad launcher.

If I have the option of getting a game on GoG or Steam I’ll choose gog everytime. To each their own but my experiences with gog are almost always better than with steam.

I still use steam for the games that gog doesn’t offer, but personally, i’d recommend gog over steam if you have the choice

I think GoG kinda has the monopoly on the old games market.

Me and my big sis used to play the Age of Wonders demo and the Age of Wonders 2 demo (poor family), Older and both working, GoG was the place to go to finally purchase them. Steam of course has AW3 onwards.

I think it’s the case with the originals of other games too.

If there was 1 ā€œGame Launcherā€ that both GOG and Steam used so that this way people could by the games from eitehr GOG or Steam I probably wouldnt mind then. I just dont want to many Launchers for all of the games I currently have and may get. IF they were to ā€˜Remaster’ Warcraft 1 and 2 and only have the remastered on Blizzards app while keeping the orignal version on GOG id go for the remastered just cause i Already have Blizzards launcher.

At least it’s not Epic Games. :face_vomiting:

I wish, They have Simcity 3k on there, but no Sims 1 or 2? (heck, there not even on Origin)

Does EA not want more money? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

with all the companies that are still around youd think they would want as much money as they could bring in by sticking all of the Older games on all the Platforms and not limit to themselves to certain ones.

Isn’t GOG DRM-free? I’d think you could add the .exe files to your Steam library.

Ikr, it’s like i’m literally over here, begging, saying i will pay for the Sims 1 and 2 (plus all the Need for Speed titles from first one to Prostreet and all 3 Skate titles, oh and Theme Park World! :open_mouth: ) to be purchasable on Origin.

Like come the hell on EA, ya bunch of jerks.

No i don’t want to buy your Sims 4 or Need for Speed Payback, those games are terrible. (Okay the Sims 4 gotten better, but i still rather pay for the first and second game to be completely honest)

Activision Blizzard has its own retail and launchers, it doesn’t need Steam.

The point of putting your game on Steam is to get it out to the gaming market, and Steam takes a cut of your profits for doing so.

Acti-Blizz is self sufficient.

That is honestly weird considering they put Warcraft 1 and 2 on GoG. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Which reminds me to log in and grab my two free $15-$50 games for the week.

Thanks, EPIC!

Edit - this week it’s a $20 and a $25 USD game. gg anyway.

Thanks again, EPIC, for the free EPIC deals!

Looking here it seems GoG has half the cut taken from developers that Steam does.

So it would still be a pointless change profits wise.

Well i’m glad you enjoy it, i just wish those games on there aren’t epic exclusive (heck i wouldn’t have a problem with it being on Epic if it can be on Steam and/or GoG as well) so it can get the biggest widest audience possible. But at least you enjoy it.

I apologize in advance if i’m not sympathetic to the developers or the company and their plight of their profits being cut in half for choosing a storefront.

I don’t like the idea of Exclusives, i want games to be on many platforms and hands as it could possiable. First Red Dead Redemption? Yea we need a PC port of that. Borderlands 3 and Metro Exodus? Steam and GoG release too. etc etc. Warcraft 1 and 2 on GoG as well on Steam and Bnet? Sure. The more the better.

Heck even Fortnite… would be better served with a Steam and GoG release.

I think my biggest problem with Epic’s storefront (outside of rumors of malware and the CEO’s lying mouth about saving the PC market) is exclusivity and how they handled them.

Not going to Deny GoG and Steam does have their Exclusives, But Epic has like a lot of big named titles that were released everywhere else and now exclusive. And that’s really sucks.

I mean I agree. In a perfect world we’d have consumer friendly take priority over maximizing profits.

But this is in fact a sad world we live in.

I’ve yet to ever make a purchase from the EPIC store and I’m sitting on I dunno how much value in my library. Each month you’ll get anywhere from an easy $150 to $375’ish in free games. Can’t beat that. Many of the same games on the EPIC store are also on Steam, you just can’t add them to your steam library.
