It seems obvious that these would reset, but I haven’t heard anything official about this.

They reset last expansion. Without a statement otherwise I would put money on them being reset.

Yes, they will reset. But do they reset on 2/25 with the new patch or will they reset on 3/4 at the start of Season 2?

Start of season is the wording used by Blizzard for currency resets.
They are always reset but go ahead and stockpile them.
nah. The reason I asked is because I’m just farming some 1000g WQ while doing PvP stuff, and I’m like “I should just spend the Valorstones and upgrade this gear to make the PvE stuff a little easier.”
During the Season, I had better stuff (actual PvE stuff) to spend the stones on. But now… they’re just going away. Might as well upgrade the PvP set.

Basically, all I’m saying is to keep doing whatever you’re doing it doesn’t affect anything.

Is there anything worth doing with excess valorstones? I am capped, not sure if any way to dump them into anything noteworthy
Stockpile all 2000 of them.
What Brocknor said, excess valorstones good for upgrading pvp set in war mode to kill pve npcs.

You can buy veteran boxes if you have 1000 rating in M+. Not a great conversion rate but you can sell for gold.

With all the gating on crests, valor and conquest, did you really not already have an answer to this question? Its baffling to me that this even needs asked.
9000% of course theyre going to reset, and youll either get nothing, or 5s-2g for each. Blizzard never has faith (half the time for good reason) that their content can fly on its own without you being forced to stay for retention metrics.
Lol, they become fairly useless over time after you upgrade everything so of course they would reset otherwise you wouldn’t have to regrind which is the whole point of the timegating and time played metrics.

…you mean the 4th tuesday is only a patch S2 starts the week after, and they will reset to 0 on the 4th

No guarantees they won’t reset wax too or just make it so they don’t give Valorstones anymore.

My first suggestion probably has the most PRACTICAL use. But there is one other, very niche use I can think of:
If you’re an xmog collector and have anything less than Mythic track gear fully upgraded, when you go past the 4/8 upgrade point, the item actually changes its appearance to that next higher track of gear.
So on many of my alts, I have basic 1/8 or 2/8 veteran track gear. If I spend my Valorstones and push to 5/8, I’ll actually unlock a new xmog appearance.
While I admit that’s niche, it IS an actual use for Valorstones, rather than just letting them rot.

Still would be good to have some sort of confirmation from Blizzard on what exactly they are doing with currencies and when.
Are crests/valorstones resetting with patch launch or season launch?
Is there a reason to reset crests since the new crests are different and would allow for a few last minute upgrades from your vault on season launch.
