I sort of hope they instead expand the surface level of the city. I feel like Undercity was and always will be linked to the philosophies/experiences of Sylvanas, as it was meant to divorce the Forsaken from their living identities (and arguably thereby cement their reliance on her). Reclaiming the surface but in that distinct Forsaken architectural style would be symbolic for them moving past that era and into a new one.

The Forsaken are not regular humans anymore. They left that way behind. Rebuilding the former capital city of Lordaeron just fannels the fire of the deus vult crowd of human fans on this forum.

That is surely true, but that is why they shouldnā€™t simply restore it to what it was. The forsaken architectural style is key there, as it is how they embrace their pasts but look to the future at the same time. Abandoning who they were at Sylvanasā€™ decree to do so is how they ended up parodies of themselves to begin with.

Restoration of the Seven Kingdoms to their former glory is as much a pipe dream as restoring the Troll Empires. People will have to accept that eventually.

I mean I would be kind of awesome to see a Lordaeron Capital with Forsaken Buildings on top as for the Sewers. Iā€™m guessing ether a dungeon or just another area to explore like what Dalaran Sewers is but bigger and better.

How? Last time I checked 4 kingdoms of them are standing and doing well. The human nations are much closer to being restored then the troll empires.

I sincerely doubt that.

Itā€™s been cleared of the Blight, canonically, via the Blight cure MacGuffin, so lorewise it is available again. I assume theyā€™ll either add a new phase to it via the Bronze dragon there, or just make the old one the default again.

Iā€™m all for an under city. The flow of blight through the river and sewers promotes a healthy atmosphere full of spores which are undoubtedly good for forsaken.

I 'm also in favor of a middle/upper city. Give the place a blend of slightly twisted old lordaeron style and forsaken buildings which also would give visitors a safer environment to inhabit.

Iā€™m also in favour of an overcity. A massive Necropolis powered by repurposed legion technology for mobility and destruction. Fully equipped with legion death rays, a hanger for deployable zeplin warships, an armada of batriders, legion of dreadguard and bomberbays sufficient to drench an area in blight in seconds. It would have one drawback. The repurposed legion technology would be a work in progress so it is not completely reliable or safe. In the interim it is powered by undead hamsters on a system of treadmills.

I wish Blizzard did this with the Worgen.

If you are undead it should show in your culture. Abandoning the light, cannibalizing corpses and repairing your body with captives was the first step. And I pray to all the gaming gods out there that the heritage armor questline will not ruin this concept by having Calia trying to bring back Lordaeron. If they do this this game is surley dead to me.

bruh, thatā€™s old lore. Havenā€™t you read before the storm and did quests with Calia? Current forsaken are sad miserable victims of sylvanas.

All those psychopaths and royal apothecaries?

I reject that character with every fiber of my being. I rather delete my Forsaken before I abandon the Forsaken concept I grew up with due to Metzen and Kosak.

A big fat lie retconned by Golden to furfill her alliance alignment chart for the Horde who is not allowed to have any edge against the alliance.

well. thatā€™s current canon. You can hate it, but itā€™s where story will go anyway. I hate it myself aswell, now iā€™m only maining blood elf characters. Lorā€™Themar been relatively undamaged by lore team and even got himself GF

Aethas trying to apologise to Jaina is pathetic though

Not interested. I am the no.1 Kaelā€™thas fan and Bob was nonexistent to me ever since TBC ended. I only stay for the RP.

You want canon? The Forsaken WILLINGLY built a personality cult around Sylvanas and obeyed her every command. Play the cataclysm revamp zones. Especially, Tirisfal, Silverpine and Hillsbrad. That is what Forsaken are. Edgy zombies who were shunned by the living and hate the name Menethil. And because of their hatred they were fighting to dominate the north of the continent. In any realistic scenario instead of Calia they would have chosen the Black Bride and Executor Mortuus to fill the massive gap that Sylvanas being forced to leave left behind. In this way the real Forsaken fans would have had their profit from the plot.

Safest race to play in horde is Vulpera. They have absolutely no lore outside of being good friends with a couple of Llamas. I triple dare blizzard to even try and take that away!

I think everyone needs a pocket Vulpera. Cute little guys and gals who are loyal. Canā€™t beat that :smiley_cat:

Desert critters. Should have given us Ogres or Gilblins instead. Or Mogu IDK. Anything that provides a military advantage.
