i have a Intel Core i7 4770 @ 3.40GHz is that bad?
What was linked in the OP would be a downgrade, CPU-wise. If you want something AMD, it should be followed by the word Ryzen (3000 or 4000) to be an upgrade. If you want something Intel, look for 8th, 9th, or 10th gen.

it’s a refurb for about $200 and that’s about my current budget. I’m thinking that when xmas rolls around I’ll be able to get something much better but I’m in a situation where I need something now. Sadly, I just don’t have a lot of cash atm
I could only settle for a 7,8 and above is nearly impossible to get here unless youre willing to shell out a few thousand dollars for it.

I played on a computer like this back in Mists of Pandaria. It was an honest to god Gateway, didn’t know any better cuz I didn’t know about computers.
Even back then, performance wasn’t very good, the parts are better suited to entry level laptops, not desktops.
Do you know your current specs? Could maybe squeeze out an upgrade, or point you in the right direction.
oh dang, this requires an SSD now, interesting
