I am more of a casual WoW player, but I do dabble in raiding and other large group content. I was wondering if this graphics card I’m getting in a laptop will be able to handle WoW on low-medium settings.

As long as you’re running the game at 1080p 60fps (locking the refresh rate to 60) you should be able to run it in medium/medium-high settings.

Ah, okay. I will only be running at 1080 w/ a cap at 60 FPS.

A RTX 3000 GPU performance wildly vary. It completely depends on the laptop. The RTX 3050 TI you’re talking about can range anywhere from 35W to 80W so it heavily depends on the laptop (70% clock difference min and max range).
On Ubuntu 21.04 I tested out a 5600H + GTX 1650 at 1080p I can get 60-90fps at solid 10 settings. The 3050 TI should be able to easily sustain 1080p at 10 settings assuming the laptop is designed to handle it.

GeForce cards that end in 50 are about half as powerful as the the cards that end in 60. Get a 60.

Normally this is correct and good rule of thumb. For 3000 series I’d add it’s VERY important to research the specific model. There are 3060 laptops slower than 2060 from previous gen.
Samsung’s process murdered the 3000 series Nvidia cards unfortunately. I’m running an A100 at work and the difference between a 3K Nvidia on Samsung and a properly built one is absolutely massive.
