Will things obtained in WoW Classic ever be available to use in Retail?

You can get the original T3 armor pieces off the BMAH or crafting them after doing the Secrets of Naxxaramas questline

I wouldnt take anything said by Blizzard as gospel. they have said a lot of things they changed their minds about later or straight up lied about to shut people up. If you took Blizzard at their word, Classic wouldnt exist.

Woah woah woah woah woah.

Lois this is not my batman cup.

in seriousnessā€¦ WHAT. Ive never heard of thisā€¦

yes there is a secret of naxx and old scholomance questlines that are tied together to unlock recipes for old armor and access to the pre-mop Scholo instance. There is even an unlock for old ZG gear as well as a separate unlock.

Ive been collecting the old scourgestones and bijou on my vulpera shaman to get all the recipes.

You canā€™t get all the Naxx 40 items (namely the weapons like Atiesh, Anathema/Benediction, and the Ashbringer are not obtainable) but thereā€™s a ton of old items and recipes you can obtain. Hereā€™s the WoWhead article on it, but thereā€™s also similar things added for the Scarlet Monastery dungeon sets and ZG. Again, it isnā€™t everything, but many things can be obtained from there as well.

The T3 armors are all obtainable. If you want them, they cost a pretty penny with vendor mats, but you can also obtain them by running the instance and trading in the scourgestones you obtain. Every random armor item you buy from the death knight has a chance to turn into the reagent used for the final armor piece.

that blue post means nothing considering all the ā€œlimited timeā€ things that have been brought back.

How about if you could transfer your classic character to standard edition server, but without any of the awards and achievements?

Oh man you need 300 CLASSIC blacksmithing to complete this whole thing?

Yeah im out lol.

Never server first titles, Grand Crusader Mounts, Black Qiraji mount, challenge mode sets, or PvP sets though. Those are all pretty different than TCG, RaF, and logged in at a specific time rewards. Whether or not itā€™s a position you agree with that those harder items should be obtainable, the criteria to get them is very different.

The item that is used to make the base pieces can be obtained through a work order in Valdrakken or Dornogal, you donā€™t need to make it yourself. All you need to do yourself is unlock the instances and gather the phylacterweave really. The lamented crusader items are sellable on the AH, as are the righteous orbs and all materials used in Undeath Metal, then the metal itself is able to be work ordered.

Thankfully no.

I donā€™t want to feel like Iā€™m missing out by choosing to not play classic.

Itā€™s a very good philosophy that they have in place and it is far more sound than any argument put forward in this thread.

So everyone else has to suffer because you will feel obligated to do something if it is made available to you?

WoW theorists believe that Classic will simply eventually merge with the regular WoW but that is still theory as of yet and has zero actual proof that it is going to happen. So all we have to go off of now about it is what a few WoW YouTubers have said about the matter.

I highly doubt they are going to shut down Classic and merge it into retailā€¦so that is unlikely to happen. R14 is much more easy to get now in Classic and this version of Classic saw every single realm have open Scarab Gates with multiple Scarab Lords per realm as in the original version of 04 Vanilla, there were still many realms that did not even had a gate ever touched and so those realms saw ZERO Scarab Lords and also some realms even had no R14s on them at all with very few people on them having full equipped level 60s.

Not made available, you mean. Plenty of items are no longer obtainable in classic. Also, those items are not in line with items that have been brought back.

If they are adding WoW rewards back, it should be through the current game. Let classic stay in classic.

Still donā€™t see why I canā€™t have my Silver Covenant Hippogryph in Classic and Retail without having to do double the grind.

Because they are different games.

If the numbers and projections ever dip low enough yeah.

Transmogā€™s already in Classic, isnā€™t it? Wasnā€™t that introduced in Cata?

Anyway, I donā€™t like the segregation of collectibles between Classic and retail either, although my grievances are mostly limited to the promo items like the ones included with the ā€˜deluxeā€™ editions, because I donā€™t really consider promo items to be all that ā€˜prestigiousā€™.

THIS IS THE ULTIMATE QUESTION and the reason I donā€™t play Classic

I love the idea of having expansion based servers. It allows people to stay where they enjoyed the game best.

Items gained in Classic should be transmoggable in Retail. Do that and subs will go up. Money will go up. People will love it. Because suddenly Classic becomes worth doing to millions of people like me who think itā€™s all just a waste of time.

I like building my stuff in Retail. Itā€™s the real game. Itā€™s the current story. Classic is just a replay. But if I could collect transmogs for Retail when I play Classicā€¦ I would play Classic
