Well, I see they deleted my other post…so let me ask this again in another way. No RDF in WOTLK classic is a no go for me, however, if it is eventually put in I will play.
So what’s the deal, is RDF coming down the road and just left out at launch? or is it never to be introduced to WOTLK Classic?
We have no idea.
Anecdotally I’ve seen 100-1 posts and videos regarding adding rdf back in. My impression is that the community wants rdf, and I agree with them. But blizzard is more keen to take things away then add things.
they will probably put it back in eventually once content dries up but I think that having it turned off for the first phase to prevent dungeon spam leveling will be cool
We don’t know. The official stance per Brian is that they are looking at community feedback, but are working on the LFG retail tool import for wrath and will wait for feedback at that point. TBD basically
Frankenstein tool because they can’t get the OG Wrath version to work.

The thought of them trying to implement the code, it not working first try. And them instantly giving up and presenting the removal of rdf under the guise of ‘‘community requests’’ is really funny to me. Sad, but funny.

Yes, this is a common loop on PServers.
Step 1: Release WOTLK without dungeon finder
Step 2: Respond to feedback and re-add it in Ulduar phase
This has happened so many times on PServers it’s comical
I would prefer it be in from the start, but being honest, I wouldn’t be seething mad waiting one patch. Based on the history of the previous two Classic releases, dungeons are much easier to find at launch.
That said, it’s extremely painful finding dungeon groups now (end of expansion) and I don’t see that Blizzards “new UI” updates that fix any of the problems that cause it. So if Blizzard recreates this dungeon vacuum in Wrath that we are seeing now, because of some false belief it makes the community better for no one to be running dungeons half way through the expansion, I think that would be a fail.
