The next raid is Scarlet Monastery, will we finally see this legendary weapon available to players? Feels like it would be a GIANT fail not to do this after vanilla where people spent hours/days/weeks hunting for all kinds of clues(remember how everyone thought you could “fish it up” lol).
I don’t have much hope…but it would be a HUGE win if they finally unleashed it on us all =)

the legendary weapon is in Naxxramas, not in Scarlet Monastery.

There’s a scarlet cathedral in Stratholme Live. But it’s not raidworthy.
anything with super-low ceilings cant be a raid.

So how we gunna have both the uncorrupted and corrupted around at the same time lorewise? They are the same weapon in different states.
If they add ashbringer, it won’t be as a drop, I would think. It will probably be through a quest to restore the corrupted version to it’s former glory.
It would have to happen pre naxx.

They mentioned adding more legendaries early on and Ashbringer is something that would be a great way to add the story, obviously it will require said player to have the Corrupted Variant and go from there. That quest line was never finished. On a side note MANY quest lines were never finished.
Being said the Eranikus chain that was mentioned when they discussed SoD.
Rather not tbh, everyone gets a legendary has always felt kinda weird.
I hate the word “everyone” because by the logical point of view not everyone will. Like like how not everyone will get through Gnomer because they made thermaplugg into Mimiron lite.
