Will there be any use for all these primal infusions?

All of these extra primal infusions are piling up in my bags and it has become obvious that I have no use for them. Even with the advent of unlimited Sparks, I still have so many concentrated primal infusions that I’ll never use a regular primal infusion. Also, sitting on about 1400 primal chaos which are stacking up faster than I can use them.

Are there any plans to devise new uses for these items? Here are some ideas that I had:

A mechanism to ship them to alts, even at diminished capacity.

Some way to exchange them to higher level primal items. e.g…. 10 primal infusions can exchange for a concentrated primal infusion. 100 primal chaos can exchange to a primal infusion, etc….

Can be exchanged for artisans mettle, and or insight.

Please consider adding more uses for these defunct rewards.

Where are you getting all these primal infusions?

Mythic plus. Ten 11+ dungeons gives one, and ten 16+ gives the better one.

Turning 10 primal infusion into 1 concentrated primal infusion would be neat.

Makes sense… I don’t do M+ and wowhead not doing a good job shoveling info on them.

I’m building a new World Tree for the Night Elves out of my spare Primal Chaos.

It would be counter productive, if their goal is to encourage people to do higher keys. One of the few reasons I drag myself into 16+, which isn’t particularly fun as a guardian druid, is because it’s needed to progress my gear.

Doing a +16 would still be in 10X faster for grinding them out in this hypothetical scenario. To do +11s for a concentrated primal chaos would require 100 instances, which is a lot more of a time investment, and would not be a worthwhile endeavor just for the concentrated primal infusion. I end up getting a lot of them because I’m helping people do Lower keys so it would be a nice way to make the incidental reward be at least worth something eventually.

10 primals is like 100 dungeons tho
That would be a fair conversion imo

100 < +15 vs 10 > +16

I mean eventually we will be swimming in conc primals too

Given a decent group, you can finish an 11 substantially faster, with minimal chance of failing the key, of you’re also able to do a 16 with that group. It wouldn’t be as fast, but certainly not 10x. I’d probably do it, because tanking high keys as guardian is frustrating.

You think you could run 100 +11 keys faster than 10 +16 keys?

My last post was pretty clear. I don’t think you can run 100 11s as fast as 10 16s, but it would be much less stressful, and absolutely not a straight 10x as long.

What’s fair about it ?

You don’t get a Mythic raid gear piece from killing 10 heroic bosses.

Want the gear, do the content.

Well yeah that would be easy.

The conversion would be more like 100 heroic bosses tho.

No. Want the gear, kill the boss at the proper difficulty.

Yeah, but do you really think GD would go for a 100:1 conversion? There would be a firestorm of complaints about how it’s unfair or too much of a grind.

The conversion would likely only benefit people who already have access to conc primals and have excess regular primal with nothing to use it on.

That’s what this thread is about anyway. What to do with all the spare primal infusions.

Like for me I’m working on my 2nd concentrated.
I have like 8 regular primals on my bags that will never be used for anything

Yeah I understand that, but adding a conversion to Concentrated ones will only stir up more issues. We know how GD gets.

I have 3 Concentrated ones sitting in my bag and like who knows how many Primal infusions. Lost count with Chaos. I agree there could be something, maybe for Reputation or Profession Specialization points, or more transmogs. Maybe if we can buy augment runes Primal Chaos.

Bumping just to try to get attention to it. Also get primal infusions from completing the renown tracks.

10 to 1 seems too many for primal to concentrated, 5 would be better. And what does it matter if casuals eventually get top gear? None of it matters by the next expansion if not by the next patch. Gear isn’t a “reward”. It’s a tool for unlocking more content, even if that content is very similar to the prior content. Providing players gradual but reliable access to more content is lot better for player retention than pretending pixels are a valuable status symbol.

Trust me people already are swimming in them. I’m sitting on over 2900 Primal Chaos after sending 1000 to alts, 100+ primals, and 100+ conc primals with 6x 418 crafted pieces. I’m at the point where I would at least like to vendor them for 10g a pop or something stupid cause at least it would have a use.
