Will there be a seperate classic wow download

2 questions all.

  1. Will there be a seperate Classic WoW download (listing a different game wow classic download) in the battle.net app? or will you have to have retail installed to play classic. I know you just have to have a sub to retail to play but I will not have to have it installed right?

  2. Does anyone have a clue when its going to be available for download, I have no interest in playing retail wow anymore for last 2 expansions? Really excited to play classic again. I have a feeling this is going to hit 15 million subscribers.

I’d guess with 99% accuracy it will be seperate.

It should definitely be separate.

The question is.
When will or will there be a pre-download available?
How large will the download be?

What if they’re able to move the data over from the demo client onto the live client and just have it load from a different server? I don’t know too much about computers.

Would this be feasible?

I think the duel tournament realms did something similar and those were custom realms with custom rulesets/data.

Most likely through the Blizzard Launcher. Probably just toss a new button on like for all the other games released since. The ability to pre-download would be fantastic, unless they pull an Apex Legends style surprise release. Lol

If I recall, the BlizzCon Demo was a separate download.

I really hope there is an option to get it downloaded a couple days ahead of time. It would drive me nuts if I have to get home from work and then wait.

This would be great if they did this. I can’t fit BFA on my ssd drive. Wow classic should be able to fit perfectly.

They’ve said it’s using a heavily modded legion client at patch 7.3 or so, so I’d say almost certainly it will be separate.
