Will The War Within fix the issue

Sure, you do that the first time you do the dungeon. By the 2nd, 5th, or 100th…you are over it.

That still happens now, so Im not sure what you’re talking about.

I guess we played very different games. My groups always killed everything as fast as possible.

Again, that’s the way it still happens. The difference is that players aren’t dying or even struggling so they keep pulling until they are…which becomes speed running

I’ll say it again, the problem isn’t M+ or the timer. It’s the time vs reward incentive…which is enabled by the disparity in difficulty that results from the significant difference in player power vs trivial content scaling

I disagree I think the problem is the players approach to the game and the way Blizzard caters to it. The power gaps and scaling and whatever else will not be fixed much if ever in leaderboard content cause it shoehorns the best classes/specs into content to maximize peoples ability to push.

If you’re also just talking Blizzards ability to perfectly balance, well it’s been 20 years but maybe they’ll get there one day. Sometimes it gets a bit better I guess.

Everyone will be waiting a long loooooooooong time for that.

You mean…the way most(?) MMO players approach the genre and how every company caters to it.

This isn’t a problem unique to Blizzard. Although, at least in my experience, the number of people complaining about it does seem unique to WoW.

At this point, you might as well find a new genre or move to a more solo focused MMO like ESO or New World (after the “reboot” launches) so that you can control your own pacing

Or I can just do follower dungeons and Delves now thank goodness. Especially if I want to enjoy the story beats and just relax.

So in part it did help alleviate the issue for some.

M+ started speed running cause people run the dungeon with the assumption their under a strict time clock. They treat every dungeon like a mythic even 10-61 Chromie time. They think if they are 1 second too slow they will miss out on epics.

People cannot forget M+ started speedrunning which pushes people to be fast or miss out on loot. Speedrunning has a dark side it causes tanks to get so far ahead of the rest of the team they get the team killed. Speedrunning throws team work out the window.

I seen tanks try to pull half the dungeon themselves then realize they took on more then they can handle. And they rez and do it again and again and again.

What? No.

Nope. They think they want to level as fast as possible and the best way to do that is to run as many dungeons as possible in the shortest amount of time.

Nope again. Speed running has existed far longer than M+.

This I can agree with. But if your tank is killing everything, it’s probably a good idea just to sit back and let them go while trying not to fall behind.

I seen tanks try and pull the entire dungeon that causes a wipe. Then they do it again and again and again.

They should just turn New World, into a SOLO game, Remove the trashy mmo tag from it. The game is terrible as an MMO, would be great as a solo game.

Untrue, people were speed running dungeons before M+

If you read the articles about the next update, they are downplaying the MMO elements while heavily emphasizing the solo and duo player experience…so they are sort of going that direction, but I guess they are leaving in the MMO stuff.

Make it single player with Co-Op options like a Steam game.

Not even close to “Sort of” if i want to turn the game on and not see other people, then i want that, just because they try to twist and reword what they think an mmo is, does not mean it is not what it is, It was sold as an mmo it was marketed as an mmo, they are changing nothing to make it less of an mmo, it is still an MMO, no matter what the moron that tried to come up with some BS excuse thinks.

I wish I can remove other people from Diablo 4.

:stuck_out_tongue: sadly you can’t it is not that kind of game.

I guess that goes into how you define "MMO.’ Diablo 4 isn’t considered a MMO but you have to see other players.

Operant conditioning.

D3 allows me to do content at my own pace. D4, not so much. Sometimes other people are camping stuff or one shotting stuff.

New World was marketed as an MMO, so it is therefore an MMO, they leave all the things they sold the game as then it is still what it is, i can put roses in dung but that don’t mean the dung is now roses.

So you suggested that New World should become a solo game and remove the MMO tag…and that’s exactly what they did but for some reason you are arguing that it doesn’t count.

The forums never cease to amaze me, lol.

You said yourself, they left all the mmo elements in it. If the game still has “Dungeons and Raids” it is not a solo game >.>it is a game with some solo play.
