Is this something I should put time into right now before it goes away or will it stay after the event is over?

Uhhh.
None of the other secret stuff went away so I don’t imagine it will.
Doubt the mount will go away. What is in question is if the “Detective” title will stick around in some way after the event. It is required to start the hunt for the motorcycle.
I suspect Blizz will add an alternative way to get the title once the event is over. But not heard anything yet.

Unless hotfixed, the only issue I see would be Orb 6 o’clock, which requires a lot of specific items/mounts/toys/pets etc and can be done if others at the alter have them, even if you don’t. If it does off, OP may have to go get all the items needed if they don’t already and that could prove to be time consuming.

It’s a Secret event, even the one from DF is still active. It’s not going anywhere since the bike is not tied to the event.
