WILL THE NEW WORGEN MODELS HAVE TAILS?

There is high potential there will be a preview of new models today. What do you bet on?

YES, THEY'LL CAVE TO THE REQUEST TO MAKE UP FOR THE LONG WAIT?

or NO, BLIZZ WILL STICK TO THE ORIGINAL DESIGN?

Why would they add something Worgen never had on their bodies in the first place?

It'd be like adding a third arm to humans, or digitigrade feet instead of hooves to tauren.

Because the worgen models were unfinished in the first place, and it's a highly requested feature that would be entirely optional. Nothing else, really. Although, Genn had a tail in the new novel.

To be fair, Worgen COULD have a tail.

Worgen are not a race. They are a curse. They are basically people stuck halfway through a Druid form transformation.

That druid form is Pack Form and it did have a tail.

So all they would have to do is to move slightly closer to Pack Form and further from Human form and KABLAM!!1! Worgen tail.

Yeah, but it was there! No, Genn doesn't have a tail, we have seen that. But that doesn't mean other worgen can't.

Seems kind of arbitrary. It would be cool to see a wolf form option for worgen druids, though. Could be an optional replacer for cat form.

You're not getting a tail.. I'd be surprised if you're getting updated models.

You're not getting a tail.. I'd be surprised if you're getting updated models.
Well, they are coming. We have been told that. Ion last said the next time we hear about worgen/goblin model updates will be with previews of what they're going to look like. One can't imagine a better moment than Blizzcon. If they're not ready by tomorrow, then fine, that just means the models will look that much better with 2019 graphics. But there's always the chance we'll see them tomorrow.

I didn't even think about the possibility of new Worgen and Goblin models. Probably won't happen, but now I'm looking forward to the WoW panel a little more.

You can retcon it away by saying Genn had really long and matted buttfur, a Brownmane, if you will.

I've been saying since the beginning to let the players have the OPTION to choose whether or not to have tails.

You know... character customization...

Something that players have been wanting so we all don't look like the same damn character....

Just like I've been advocating that their human forms should have separate customization options and have access to all human looks. Wishful thinking but hey, what do I know?

Just map the worgen textures on blood elves and call it a day.

'Pack form' is the full completed transformation of the druid form. The playable Worgen's are explicitly an incomplete transformation of that form.

And in the starting area, the Worgen player drinks the magic water that brings balance, or something, to their curse which may mean that a full completion of the pack form is unlikely.

edit: Also, there's a reason why Malfurion ban the 'pack form'. Worgen's are already dangerous as it is.

I doubt we'll get the option for tails. Here's hoping we get news on the model updates today though.

My rogue and DK look a little silly at the moment.

When you consider all the problems of BFA.... new models seems like a poor investment of resources
