Will the alliance ever have revenge for something?

3 cities, 3 damn cities lost at the hands of the horde.
They never let genn have vengeance for gilneas or liam.
They never let jaina have vengeance for theramore or her apprentice.
they didn’t even let tyrande cause some real damage to the horde other than just a valkir.

Will the alliance ever stop being as a plot device for the horde civil war? will they be allowed to cause actual damage to the horde like they deserve?
Like, the maximum that we got was… kill a king who we didn’t even care about.

Why blizzard insist on forcing the alliance to watch all this heavy focused horde expansion while we get “rewarded” for the privilege of seeing their story?
i mean i liked jaina’s arc in this xpac and all but i am talking about the main storyline and the faction war in general.
it feel more like a side story.

Blizzard, in the recent cinematic the alliance had see saurfang get his redemption while stealing delaryn’s words (the girl that he actually killed) and shouting “the horde IS STRONG!”
humm what about… the alliance blizz?

Blizz, let the alliance cause a big loss for the horde at the hands of the alliance and make THEY forgive. why it always has to be the alliance?

How dare you say such things?! Didn’t you hear Saurfang say it now “conveniently” is time to break the cycle?

Maybe.

If we get to kill Sylvanas in a raid instead of having someone else killsteal, there you go.

If you’re expecting revenge against the Horde as a whole, the magic eight ball says “Not Likely”. Blizzard doesn’t like making Alliance be aggressive. All this talk about Vengeance Mode Tyrande? Yeah, I’ll believe it when I actually see it.

Yes, it would be nice that they actually let us kill the villain this time.
in wod the had thrall randomly show up and steal kill us.
Like, jaina wasn’t even allowed to be in that horde themed expansion.
because it was all about the horde internal’s conflict.
or to take actual revenge on the one who destroyed her city.

i sure i hope so, she wouldn’t be a villain for having vengeance on the horde. and if they kill her for that at least let her destroy orgrimmar or something.

Depends on how she goes about it. If she attacks civilians and tries to genocide peoples in her revenge bit, she’d just be another Daelin Proudmoore.

EDIT: Frankly though with peace obtained between the factions and Sylvanas out of power, starting things back and putting more lives at risk just for the sake of vengeance seems foolish and irresponsible.

Especially with an Old God free and gaining power.

i understand but you know what? i am so sick that the horde does some atrocity and hides behind a world threat.

Is time to face consequences for their actions. if we end up all death, it will be the hordes’ fault.

No, i think that tyrande deserves to genocide a horde race.

Nah, if Alliance starts a fight when there doesn’t need to be a fight and that screws up our chance to defend Azeroth it would be the Alliance’s fault.

I doubt we’ll agree on this issue though. Chances are you won’t get the vengeance satisfaction that you’re hoping for so it’s a moot point.

Belves please.

No is not because the horde attacked first, you can’t just keep hiding like thrall say.

An eye for an eye only makes the world go blind, as Ghandi once said.

No, the Alliance doesn’t do revenge. This is something Blizz has been trying to push for years now. With BfA, when the devs gave an interview early about, “What does it mean to be Horde?” and all that, they went on and on about the trials that the Horde was going to go through. Nearly the entirety of the interview was about the narrative journey the Horde was going to go on this expansion. At the very end, after being asked what the Alliance will be doing, they said that the Alliance would have to decide if they want to go for revenge, or to do the right thing and build a better world.

I knew from the moment I read that interview that there would be no revenge for the Alliance. That we’d, “be the better person” AGAIN. Because that’s what Blizz wants the Alliance to be.

i am not even sure what you are talking about.
i think that you are just a loyalist.
You deserve to die.

lets go blind then. the horde needs to pay. if not, then we don’t deserve to live in the first place.

It was a pretty tree

we’ll trade you the genocide of the corpses for the genocide of the tree huggers.

I think this was sort of discussed a little bit in another thread, but the issue with the Alliance getting revenge for this expansion is that … the Horde was already punished; just not by the Alliance. They didn’t get to be the ones that PUNISHED the Horde, but the Red Faction still got hit mercilessly.

We’re down our 4th Head of the Faction in 5 Expansions. We have THREE to FOUR Core races rendered without leadership ATM. There aren’t any leaders really left to punish, beyond those that the the Alliance are traditionally the least hostile towards (Baine and Lor’themar … and the AR ones). BfA did exactly what many Alliance players were asking of it, it decimated our leadership that caused this mess (its just that the Alliance weren’t the ones to do it, it was Sylvie and Nate).

Its sort of weird that it turned out that way lol!

I’m so sick and tired of the faction conflict stories that I don’t want revenge. What I want right now instead of revenge, is a whole lot of building things back up.

Reclaim Gilneas and expand it. Add a nice large harbor to that area in the south with a Kul Tiran-styled port. Maybe add a nelf forest in the northwestern area complete with a temple of Elune.

Have the Kirin Tor build a new city over the ruins of Theramore, complete with districts for different magical races such as the Draenei, Belves, Nightborne, Velves, Highborne, etc…

Have Malfurion and Tyrande grow a new city that utterly blows the mind. We’ve got so many new art assets for nelves from Legion, it’d be a tragedy not to use them to create a new glorious city.

I wouldn’t mind seeing some Alliance aggression. It’s a concept we have barely since since WC3 and is long overdue IMO. BfA should have started off with Alliance attacking Lordaeron first because Genn and Jaina managed to talk Anduin into it with Sylvanas retaliating.

I understand though that people are tired of faction conflict because it never goes anywhere but down a rancid toilet. At least in the case of PvE storyline they do some okay storylines.

Guess we’ll see.
