Will Sylvanas return help or hurt the game?

She is an RTS original who had the great privilige not to be killed and forgotten about. Thankfully she will not end up like Cairne or Vol’jin. So I hope the best for next expansion.

Garrosh was evil from the start. Sylvanas only went extra bad when Afrasiabi wrote her as bad as possible. Danuser agrees.

One biggest disservice current wow writer’s have done it the pass several years is their blanton disrespect to most the original characters from WC3.

I disagree. I think Thrall dumping the horde into his lap and than peaceing out left Garrosh between a rock a hard place on understanding just how to lead the horde.

Sure Thrall was stupid to settle in a wasteland back then which was the reason for resources shortages but that is not the reason Garrosh waged war.

I think it was definitely a large contributing factor as to why he felt he had to in order for the horde to survive.

Ever since wotlk it was obvious that he would have a bad fate, and Afrasiabi was so offended about it he ruined a character that mattered to Metzehn in return. Thankfully Danuser solved this in a good way.

That cut scene with him and Varian is still one of my favorites.

I can’t really speak to that but I wouldn’t doubt it by any means.

I still think it’s time to move on from Sly.

No reason to. Her story is obviously not over yet.

I don’t know I feel like her arc came to an end when we defeated the Lich king.

Which she wasn’t present for the first time. Neither of the people having beef with him did. Just Tirion and no one else for stupid reasons.

I really think Alexzandros, Fairbanks and her should have had a bigger role in that expac.

Name one thing Sylvanas did as the warchief in Legion that helped fight the Legion? Her dying would not have reduced the Horde’s effectiveness in fighting them. The Horde would not have run around like chickens with their head chopped off if she died, lets please give the Horde some credit here.

Building on that point, Sylvanas was basically trying to hinder our allies against the Legion by screwing over Odyn and taking his Val’kyr for her own purposes… While Genn didn’t know this, and this was not his purpose for attacking, he inadvertently helped save the planet by stopping her.

Name one thing that sylvanas did that would’ve procced a war between the alliance and horde?

Cause the valkyr thing wasn’t it. The alliance didn’t care. Didn’t even mention it ever again.

Genn didn’t start a war because sylvanas was smart enough to wait

Also horde didn’t do anything after stormheim but liadrin Charlie’s Angels moment with khadgar.

Usually even in real life assassinating the head of state from any nation is a declaration of war. The alliance should be grateful stuff didn’t escalate.

And there is totally nothing wrong with that. Odyn deserves every bad thing ever happening to him.

So, if I’m understanding this right.

It’s perfectly a-okay for Sylvanas to not fight the legion and go around making shady deals with Helya and trying to enslave the Val’kyr. That’s acceptable behavior

Gemm tracks her and actually stops her evil plan, and that’s the worst thing ever.

Did I miss anything?

Odyn tried to assassinate kids. Sylvanas tried to stop the Forsaken from decaying. I know whom of them have the better plans.

Sylvanas murder Genns kid. Nuff said really.

Genn was justified in hunting her down and wanting vengence
