It seems we already have so many systems including covenants, conduits and legionaries. It’s already more than BFA at launch where you only have azerite armor. Does it mean it will be more grinding?
Anyone has clues? If this is the case I will just play old contents and sightseeing.

Anima seems to work a lot like the war resources, to be honest you will not be given much to do once reaching level cap.
The Shadowlands is going to be quite Barren.
There’s a lot of stuff with weekly caps.

I came in here looking for the “mmo’s are supposed to have grinding” post guess I’m early. Be back later.
That’s my plan too! Hope to see you out there

It does not look like it will be as grindy.
Probably just about as grindy as the game currently is. Transmogs locked behind Rep and other things, weekly caps on resources, etc. You pursue the content you want. If you want to get EVERYTHING in the expansion, yeah, you’ve got a long road ahead, that’s the way the game is designed: to get you to keep coming back.
How ‘grindy’ that is is up to you. Want everything week 1? Yeah, you’re gunna be playing a lot of game. Want everything at least before the next major patch? Well, you’ll likely have several months to work at it.
Well, you haven’t seen the Pathfinder requirements yet. If history repeats its self, you can bet all your gold that SL will be at least as “grindy” as past expansions, in some way or another.
The people who focus, on who they are, and what they like doing… instead of trying to “do everything” …those focused people will always endure through any chaos thrown our way by Blizzard.
And all Blizzard is doing is entertaining us. So, it’s all perfectly normal. Figure out your main, your alt, focus on your main, and everything outside of your main consider to be bonus and not really all the important.
They stated at least that it would not be rep based and it would be based on your covenant renown. On top of that, any rep rewards the aren’t cosmetic (conduits etc.) can be earned at honored which is a huge step from bfa.

It would seem Blizzard is making an effort to remove/lessen the shtick of grinding from certain aspects of the game. Would urge you to watch this video for more details. He covers the changes being made to a part of those aspects.
Nice, a raid log xpack, even more of a reason not to play.

In my experience in Shadowlands, It has been the most “Grind” demanding out of all the expansions from WoW. Grind grind grind, to get little to nothing for rewards. I had a better time in BFA or Legion, and that’s a bit sad…

Really seems that way, tbh. I was planning on playing a DPS and a Healer, but at this point I’m just sticking with a healer.
short or long answer? yes yyyyeeeeeesssss
