If they really intend on revisiting the Dragonflight dungeons, what changes are you hoping to see? And if there are no changes, Uldaman and Halls are a guaranteed nightmare.
It will be harder than this season I expect, although that is basically impossible to avoid.
I enjoyed most of the DF dungeons though so I’m looking forward to it, and I hope they bring back a seasonal affix as well
I mean, we haven’t seen any of the potential tuning and we’re likely going to get a seasonal affix this time around, most likely on the power scale of Encrypted or Awakened.
It’s probably going to be the easiest season, and everything will likely be under tuned. Raids being easy and a 'Shadowlands Victory Lap" was well received, so we’ll probably get that again and extended to keystones.
While I think it would be great to see DF dungeons again as mythic plus, I am not looking forward to some of the dungeons like Ruby Life Pools.
I also hate Nokud with a passion.
Edit: Because apparently I am too sleepy when I make these posts and confuse the name “Ruby Sanctum” with “Ruby Life Pools.”
Personally I think it would be fun if they did 12 dungeons instead of 8 and introduce cool new rewards.
What, you don’t like dodging arrow volleys?
Not that… having a key go great until the last boss, just to wipe because a cast got off or someone didn’t dodge the charge.
I’m looking forward to doing all the DF dungeons again, if that is indeed the plan; they’ve only been up once so far, and in my opinion there aren’t any real stinkers in the bunch. Mechanically, probably be a bit harder than this season unless they’re quite undertuned, but that’s fine by me.
As long as they aren’t as easy as the current ones ill have fun. Getting all 20 done in the first week has set this entire season up to be giga boring.
They could cut a few minutes off each dungeon (except rise and tides) to make it as it was. They are way too lenient this season, allowing multiple wipes and still timing is silly in higher keys.
The dungeons were created with M+ in mind, so I don’t think they’ll be any worse than seasons where we have dungeons like Grimrail where half the pulls I feel like I’m partially blind from awful camera angles in situations where I really need to see what’s going on.
This season is heaps better than last season. No need to tune 20s like 25’s so people can feel a “challenge” instead of actually doing 25’s or whatever they’re comfortable with.
Mythic plus should never go through nearly 3 months of nerfs to make dungeons feel good enough for the majority of players to be able to actually do them on a good week without raging.
Rewards need to be commensurate with the challenge between content types and right in season 3 keys are absurdly easy for the rewards they give.
DF season 1 actually did it well before they clobbered them with nerfs.
Sure, but the mythic plus rewards end pre AotC heroic. A historically easy section of a mid difficulty. If we’re talking about the vault, that’s a problem to be fixed with the heroic vault rewards, not mythic plus.
I don’t think anyone would care if heroic raid vault rewarded 1/4 and 2/4 Myth items.
And aspect crests.
That said it would be lame I’m sure to get all your mythic level raid gear from the heroic vault, but that is a different issue. Maybe solved my making mythic raid the same, reward wise, as keys above 20? Just more loot not power.
It’s not like guilds wiping 400 times on bosses and extending for 2 months are there for the gear anyway.
Hard disagree. 20s are supposed to be the end game for keys. Pushing past them should be very difficult and only for clout. So what’s wrong with 20s being so easy? Well let’s look at other end game activities like mythic raiding and getting gladiator/rank 1 in pvp. Compare the difficulty required of each one to get the max rewards available. Two are very difficult and require a lot of time investment and strategy and 1 you can do in your sleep with a 4 man pug to get maxed. Obviously there is a very large discrepancy on what is required to accomplish all 3 of these tasks.
Now keep in mind I do think that getting portals / achievements in the keys should be the easiest version of endgame but it is -SO- easy that it would be like if mythic raiding rewards were given to people who clear raidfinder and pvp glad titles were given to 1100 rating challenger players. The difficulty difference in these activities are completely out of sync.
Season 1 was the perfect balance of difficulty where you needed to actively participate and learn the dungeons to get your 20s. Really good players could definitely go further but 20s were always a challenge that required all 5 members to not be sleeping on their keyboards.
Maybe solved my making mythic raid the same, reward wise, as keys above 20? Just more loot not power.
Well, mythic raiders are already talking about it being cosmetic only since they’re a giga minority. I don’t have a solution for aspects crests, but mythic raid is rarely a loot incentive and more of a prestige incentive like 21+ keys.
Mythic raiders and AotC or 3/X mythic players arent the same “I play to advance my character” types. They want CE or progression. Hall of Fame, mount/dragon skins. The classic people who stood around capital cities so everyone can ogle their accomplishments.
Simply put, they often see themselves for their skills as players and not identifying with their character or it’s progression. This is why everyone misses the entire point of meta at high levels, these people care more about themselves than their class, etc.
Rewards need to be commensurate with the challenge between content types and right in season 3 keys are absurdly easy for the rewards they give.

This has been said for ages and honestly and also obviously my opinion the fact that you can only get a mythic level item once per week is more than enough of a cap. People may think and say it’s too easy but I hope to never see a season 2 beginning again.
I still remember the first week healing a brackenhide 13 on my shaman and thinking “what the f- is this damage” it was genuinely harder than healing heroic bosses the first raid.
And then we had weeks and weeks of nonstop nerfs and in the first month even people who usually did 24s and highers were mentioning how damage and healing requirements for 16-18’s were really high.
So what’s wrong with 20s being so easy?
This is far too broad personally for my liking for what does that exactly that means? I just finished all my portals on my shaman this week. The hardest to time was Rise, the group I was in barely did it with 20 seconds left and we were not bad at all.
Point being there were pulls I busted nearly 400k hps burst, others I was GCD locked from healing, dispelling, moving out of @#$ and other stuff. Would I call it too easy? No, would I called it insanely hard either? No, and the DPS had to be doing at least 150k ST, and bursting anywhere from 300k to 650k aoe. Not to mention all the interrupts and mechanics.
And vault is once a week for mythic, that is completely fine and enough of a cap. Doing 17’s for hero gear is easish but certain weeks I personally feel heroic raiding is considerably less annoying.
I do see your point but I can’t wholly agree with simply because too many people who complain its too easy(not saying you for how could I tell) are the ones running with guildies, friends and people they mythic plus with all the time.
They increased the cap for that very same reason due to the first 1-4 mythic bosses feeling completely out of place due to their gear being outgeared super fast.
They try to emphasize raid as the place for special weapons and trinkets but as a healers main I can say most of them suck as-s- compared to season 2.
It’s so bad that Rashok despite being GUTTED 3 times is still considered a B+ to A tier trinket for all healers.
