Will recrafting my weapon ruin its quality?

  • i crafted a pvp weapon that scales to 639 in pvp combat
  • i want to recraft it and add embellishment
  • its saying that once i recraft it it will be scaled down to green quality and only 606 ilvl in pvp

wtf??? is this real? is this intended?

You must be misreading something or itā€™s a bug.

Recrafting a piece changes nothing about it except missives/embellishments will keep it exactly as it is save for adding the things you recrafted it for.

Check your heraldry slot. It sounds as though you are putting in the Green heraldries over the ones which are already there. Also make sure you are, in fact, recrafting. But so long as you are using the 639 heraldries, it will not lower its level. The quality may go down, but the PvP ilvl is not determined by item quality, only the heraldries that you use in the craft.

all is well

my weapon is still 639 in pvp

mods can lock if needed
