Proving hypocrisy isn’t a personal attack. Get thicker skin and don’t call your anecdotes hard data.
Where did you get those numbers from, on wowhead everything is listed as reduced exp not increased exp
IMO it’s not the difficulty that’s the issue.
The problem is that everything is less efficient than questing, which is kind of silly.
Why should people that enjoy pet battling, or PVP, or dungeon spam be punished for wanting to do what they want to level?
They need to double the amount of extra xp we from heirlooms, so people with them can level fast and people without them can level slowly as they like.
Yes, I agree with this. We should not be pushing questing. Also, I wouldn’t mind a complete set of heirloom gear for my missing pieces (hands, wrist, belt and feet).
It’s obsolete content, you have to realize that. It’s also very dated, it’s not very fun to play those old expansions until you reach cata/mop etc because those quest areas are so much better designed. I get it tho, I really do, some people really like long and boring fights. That’s why they gave us heirlooms… and then nerfed them.
To be honest with you, I queue for dungeons as soon as I hit 15 and up until 80(while questing of course). After that questing is quite good but also dungeon queues increase if you’re a dps. I love doing random dungeons while leveling, it’s one of the more fun aspect of this game. It’s a shame they feel like they had to nerf the fun out of it for no reason at all.
Without the dungeons I seriously doubt I would even enjoy leveling at all because it’s the same old thing I’ve done way over 50 times, ie 1-110. I’m still leveling my chars from 110-120 but it’s not as fun because it lacks motivation for me to do so.
From Here:
The comparison is the % of what the XP was in 7.0.3 to 8.1 as I stated in the post you replied to.
Look at the Wowhead link below and see the XP difference for yourself from 7.0.3 to 8.1 which shows the increase for levels 10 through 39.
I think 7.3.5 speeded up things at every level…but in 7.3.5 and 8.0 they NERFED some of the fastests LEVELING HACKS.
Some players only care about max level, and hate leveling, but have used up their free boosts and won’t pay the gamegold to get more boosts. Those players will be unhappy with ANYTHING other than “1 to 110 in seconds”.
But all the normal people – people who accept leveling as part of the game – will like thge 8.1 XP bonus, which is on top of the recent hotfixed bonus for 60-80. Add them up and 1 to 100 is almost twice as fast as it was just a couple months ago. How can anyone object to that?
I prefer leveling to take longer and since classic is on the way we will probably only see it get shorter and shorter (on live) again since I doubt they’d want to bring ideas like that from classic to live while classic is around.
Ill be pretty happy. I plan to level each allied race and this will decrease the time thatll take. though if they didnt do it, it wouldnt bother me either. Leveling isnt really as bad as people say.
I’m currently leveling another warrior - Sunnybelly - Sargeres - and 60-80 is a huge slog. I’m 79 as of the time of this writing, and frankly, I regret taking Outland over Northrend, but neither of them are much fun to level too because they are so stingy with exp; and I’m in near full heirlooms.
I like the suggestion of a passive, scaling buff for each max level you have.
I know this has been the argument all along (some people want leveling to be more challenging) but the argument is weak because people who want leveling to be challenging only needed to take off the dang heirlooms!!! Just use green and quest armor - problem solved. Blizzard never did give a good reason why the made the horrible changes in 7.3.5, I personally hate the changes they made.

5+ levels per queue.
[/quote] That’s a lie, and you know it. Never got more than one, or maybe two levels at most per dungeon q run even before 7.3.5. But ya I forgot who I quoted for a second lol.
To be honest they should have never mess with the XP gain, that was fine.
They should have never mess with the heirlooms either, their sole purpose was for players with Max level chars to give them to their alts and make the 2nd, 3rd 4th, etc. Time go faster.
But they started to screw with that when they became available to everyone with the only “time gate” being gold.
The scaling, well I guess I can see why they change that, the scaling is fine but XP gain is not.
I want them to fix the problem of the process feeling dry and bland. The XP nerf is fantastic and alone if making me consider rejoining, but my husband just hates how irrelevant every zone is outside of expansion content.
They needed to get more people leveling up because making characters and leveling them was supposed to be a major portion of the ‘content’ in BfA. If people don’t have content they won’t pay them.
And I complained about lvling because I liked it prior to 7.3.5. There was a lot more choice as to how to lvl previous to that than there is now. I don’t see being able to level in x area rather than y really much of a choice when you are doing the same activity.
However, being able to solo dungeons rather than questing for the first 30 lvls was a choice and it was enjoyable to me.
I still won’t make new characters though because I just don’t enjoy hitting things 5 or 6 times every time for 1000s of mobs - it makes the game too tedious.
You never got 5 lvls per dungeon even solo normally and this one shot everything around you isn’t accurate either but all that says it that poster never actually levelled anything or very little. I have over 40 characters on various accounts and most of them are over lvl 50 - half of them are at 110 or higher.
I would greatly prefer they revise/redo the leveling progression system so leveling as a whole feels much better and plays much better…
…but that kind of work goes beyond a single patch and this should alleviate the issues for the time being.
Those numbers are the reason I’m resubbing 11/12/18 haha.
