When Did They nerfed it? was it before 1.12 or after in vanilla.

Provides immunity to Charm, Fear and Sleep while active. May also be used while already afflicted by Charm, Fear or Sleep. Lasts 5sec.

They have nerfed WotF seven times since Nov 2004. It was actually originally permanent. Undead were just immune to fear and charm. Forever. They literally counted as undead mobs so Paladins could “turn” them and use “exorcism” on them though.

Then they made it a CD. Then then they made it have a shorter duration. Then they made it have literally NO duration, it just broke things already on you (so no more “pre-WotF” like I used to do in BC)…

It’s the most nerfed racial in the history of the game

Thanks for the clarification… I was actually sitting there thinking… wait weren’t they just immune :confused: well that clears up the need to go UD :slight_smile:

uhm but the initial nerfing , when did it occur? Will I have the 20second Will of the Forsaken in 1.12 when released? or just 5 seconds

Classic is the 1.12 patch for all intents and purposes. 5sec WotF duration on a 2min cooldown. You can still “pre-WotF” that obvious psychic scream or intimidating shout at least…

so I found out this on the wiki " Until [Patch 1.6]Patch_1.6_(Release_Notes)), Will of the Forsaken removed existing charm/fear/sleep effects and granted immunity to those effects for 20 seconds. This was [nerfed] and the immunity was decreased to 5 seconds". So they may have it in 1.12 i guess

Obviously I can’t actually write [Redacted], [Redacted] or [Redacted] on these boards, but all three of these pservers used 1.12 and all three of them have 5sec WotF duration with 2min cooldown.

I guess we’ll have to see what they do for Classic itself. I wouldn’t count on a “pre-nerf” WotF though.

Even 5 seconds it’s op. Am good with 5 seconds. But seeing how much unbalanced are classes in vanilla i wouldnt mind the 20s lol :rofl:

I apologize. I was misreading the number as 1.16 and it’s actually 1.6. ,at 1.12 its only 5 secs

Yes, there’s no 1.16. It goes from 1.12 to 2.0.
