I finished Castle Nathria, slaying Denathrius, who dropped the sword, which gave me the quest to turn into Draven. When I turned it in, I got NOTHING and the whole thing just disappeared.
Was this your first time beating Denathrius? It sounds like you got the quest drop, not the pet. The reward from the quest is some gold and anima.
