My 12-month subscription ends soon, and I will probably not renew it anymore. For the next seasons, I will definitely not go with a 12-month subscription.
My content is M+. I have been playing since Shadowlands, and I really enjoyed the push until the very end of the season. Mistweaver Monk was not meta most of the time, but I did manage to find groups to play keys that I hadn’t timed yet within an acceptable time. Yes, I know I play at a level where it’s becoming hard to avoid playing meta classes (+14 to +15 keys currently), but to be honest, I don’t care. I know that I am capable of completing those keys with my Monk.
Yes, I can run my own key—I do that every week once or twice—but if it depletes to something I’ve already timed, I simply have no joy in playing that key again.
Currently, I am applying for groups for at least one to two hours. If this continues much longer, I’m probably out. That is no fun, and I want to play a game to have fun.
Maybe I’ll come back next season to get my portals during the first month and then stop subscribing again until M+ is fixed and works better for high-key pushers as well.
Maybe it’s key depletion, maybe it’s LFG, maybe it’s tuning, or maybe it’s a combination of things. But it’s not my job to fix the game—it’s Blizzard’s. They need to figure it out.
You get access to the servers, not entitlement to other peoples’ time. If you want that, buy some tokens and you can give gold to folks to run things with you.
They sell an online game, with resources in-game to find communities to play with. You’re choosing not to do so by continuing to only pug.
Imagine playing a mmo and wanting to push the most difficult content, but be unwilling to put the effort into finding a guild/community that will assist you in those goals. WoW is not a single player game, if you want to proceed further find friends.
The chance of finding a friend group that plays at the same level as yourself, and has time at the same time, and still has an open spot for the role you want to play is very low. This is why LFG exists in the first place.
I dont know any other. At least not any other that has that high quality combat system and complexity that WoW has.
That’s your issue. You think you’re just going to stumble upon a perfect friend group that is just waiting for you to arrive. That’s not how this usually works.
If you exclusively pug the most difficult content in the tier you’re going to have a bad time. At some point, yes, you need to find a like-minded guild or community. Plenty are continually looking for people capable of timing 15s.
