Is there a limitation (other than GCD and weapon availability) to having multiple weapons on swap to take advantage of the myriad Runeforges to which we now have access? I could very well be wrong, but I feel like there are applications for many of them in PvE (for example) where swapping weapons between phases could be a net benefit. This is for both 1 and 2 handed situations. Apologies if this has already been discussed.
I could see Blood using the [Rune of Sanguination] either during 35% burn phase or when the heal pops (since it has an 8min cooldown I believe). Then switch to Fallen.
Not to Hijack but… Honestly these new Rune Forges are not close to Fallen nor Razorice… What is worse no adjustments have been even mentioned on making them par.
Fallen could be baked in Vet of X war, and Razorice be part of Remorseless winter (stacks up upon hit). Then and only then DK’s could play with these new Forges.
Rune of Sanguination provides a 5 minute debuff preventing reapplication. It does not trigger below 35% hp. Meaning you have to have the Rune equipped when passing from 36% to 35% hp for the effect to trigger.
Side note: Sanguination does not appear in the dictionary. I guess you could assume it’s the opposite of Exsanguination but it’s not actually a word .
Even if you baked the BiS runeforges into the class then the next best runeforge on the list would become the new BiS. Weapon swapping and runeforges that have temporary triggered effects are the only decent way of giving multiple runeforges consistent use as far as I can tell. Otherwise you just pick the best one for your spec and stick with it.
So I tried testing something similar on the PTR on my DK, and it wouldn’t let me swap between two different 2H weapons in combat, but it would let me on my ret paladin.
Would this be a bug or is it intended to make sure we don’t swap around runeforges?
For Frost the same two will be used as per normal. If tot are running a 2H it will which we one sims higher - probably FC
