Yeah, I know it’s a MoP feature but maybe (hopefully) the devs changed it. Does someone have access to the beta and can test it?

This would be a welcome change for me personally.
I’ve been collecting a few mounts on what I’m planning to be my main but it would be nice for the few I’ve happened to randomly get on alts.

I normally wouldn’t agree, but after they sold the Warp Chaser mount with the Dark Portal Pass, there already is one account wide mount in the game assuming you paid for it. Mounts need to become account wide in Classic to offset an obvious pay to win advantage.
There’s a difference between “Every character gets the item to learn” and “Account wide mounts” though. The first version has existed for every pet from a Collector’s Edition since Vanilla.
Those are pets, this is a mount. Being able to get the Warp Chaser for free on all my characters saves me 110g per character currently because I don’t need to buy any rare or epic ground mounts.
Sure, but that’s not the argument being presented. Account wide pets and mounts is a game system, where as saving you 100g per character is what you paid for.

I honestly am not sure what you are getting at.
Mounts and pets are not account wide in Wrath, despite the CE pets and the Deluxe mount being delivered to each character on creation. They’re two separate things. Adding in the cross-account system would undermine Wrath (yet again).
They’ve already said no.
We could make a bridge to Neptune out of that logic because it stretches so far.

No way we’re getting the heirloom tab, going to have to mail them every time like the olden days (still do it now anyway, enchanted heirlooms and all)
You know we can have good hopes right why would you want that anyway I don’t know I would give up the ability to enchant air looms if it means I only have to get them once.
