Because seriously, a level 10 priest in a levelling dungeon should not be doing 90% of a group’s damage by simply running toward the end of the dungeon spamming Holy Nova. There is no excuse for this. I want to participate in dungeons, not get carried just because I randomly got paired with a level 10.
EDIT: and because I know some galaxy-brain will try to call me on this… I was doing dungeons on a low-level alt, genius.

I think they’ve given up on the leveling aspect of the game. It’s just a poop-show now. Scaling was supposed to simplify things, but all it did was make leveling even more boring than it already was.

You would rather go back to the old way, where it takes like an hour just to do the dungeon?
Granted it is annoying to just follow along and loot.

Literally all I’m asking for is level 10s to not be capable of literally soloing dungeons by spamming a single button.
The purpose of scaling should be to place characters of wildly different levels at roughly the same level of effective power. Instead, it simply reverses the power scale so it’s the lower level players, instead of the higher level ones, that are more powerful.

Was in a leveling dungeon last night where the tank couldn’t keep up with the level 12 Resto Shaman, who chain pulled everything, then ran ahead, let the rest of us die and continued to chain pull until the last boss and left. We didn’t even get credit because we weren’t there.

They tried to do too much and I also think listened to the player base too much. We got what people were asking for and that’s the problem.
I agree. Blizzard’s motto is, “If it ain’t broke, break it. Then, fix it, and break it again.”

To be fair, when people asked for scaling, they didn’t mean broken scaling.
I’ve played some other games where it’s a lot more smooth. I’m not really sure why it never really worked in WoW.
Edit: The most painful part for me is the feeling of getting weaker as I level up in new expansions. Admittedly DF wasn’t as bad for that as SL or BFA was, but still, it was noticable.

“Improved”. No. Not only is it not balanced, there is no reason to rebalance every spec on a sliding scale that covers every level. Gear ilvl for low level characters is literally all over the place. Talents make this even harder to balance, as distribution of damage and utility talents is anything but even across a class. A new level 10 without heirlooms may have an ilvl of 3. A low level in full blue dungeon gear is going to be top damage in the dungeon no matter who or what the other characters are. If you need to parse at level 13, you need to examine why you play the game.
The idea that any part of leveling content should be challenging to the best players and difficult-to-impossible for the new players it is intended for is a complete non starter. That would just be bad for the game. It would drive away new players who would be already struggling to learn the game, just to bloat your ego.
“Thanks for the carry.” It’s okay to use that at the end of a dungeon.

Please don’t ruin F2P 10-20 twinking. Other than SoD, it’s the only reason I even play this game anymore. Just be happy for the fast runs.

healers are pretty OP in the early levels tbh. They just lose DPS as they lvl up.

Not when we’re all left behind to die and don’t get credit for the run.

Literally all I am asking for is for a level 10 player to not kill an entire pack of dungeon mobs in three button presses. Stop acting like I am asking for turbo-buffs to dungeons to make things impossible.
I have never once said that. Just fix the damn scaling so that group content is actually group content, and not “follow the level 10 as they singlehandedly disintegrate everything that gets in their way”

Jerks gonna jerk. Not everybody that plays twinks is like that. I don’t let people die (if possible).
What do you want them to do? A level 10 only has 3 buttons.
I want them to have to work together with their group in order to clear group content.
Press those buttons more than once. They’re not single-use. They’re not consumable.

I don’t have an issue with people who want to twink out. As long as they aren’t ignoring the rest of the group’s existence.
But I’ve started running into a lot of that recently in lowbie dungeons. Could just be bad luck.
And at this rate, I’m annoyed enough that I’m grumpy and feel that anyone who halts XP shouldn’t be allowed to queue with anyone but other twinks. Or shove them into their own instance group alone so they can just solo it.
The only way anything will work is if they give all low levels all their spells at once instead of over time.

Don’t run off as a Resto Shaman, hit Chain Lightning once to pull stuff to half health, then ignore it, let the rest of the group die to it all, pull everything else, kill the last boss and screw everyone out of credit.

youre out of thos dungeons so quickly that it dont even matter. also you got a pool from lvl 10 to lvl 60 so raising and lowering the damages for content that wont last more than a few hours is kinda pointless.
