Will Khadgar's wheelchair be plot relevant?

This feels like a real case of Chekhov’s gun. Will there be a elevated ledge in a future plot point that stops Khadgar from preventing a horrible disaster?

Could make part of the schemes within schemes 500iq plan of the void.

Khadgar’s wheelchair is visual storytelling.

It means Xal’atath hurt Khadgar real good and now he needs assistance with locomotion.

I doubt there’s a scheme as if Anduin wasn’t involved in Khaz Algar then Xal’atath would’ve claimed the Arathi, Alleria, and Khadgar. Maybe even the Nerubians we know would be fodder in our siege against Queen Ansurek. :dracthyr_comfy_bronze:

I will start off by saying this is my husband’s theory.

By having Khadgar become so weak Blizzard is setting up the stage where he will feel forced to fully take on the power of the guardian. As it stands now he has not fully done so, but if he wants to help he now knows that he is not strong enough with his power alone. The power of the guardian may also restore him somewhat.

Is it possible for him to still do so?

I thought the past power of the guardian was stored in a tome that was destroyed and you would effectively need to sacrifice the magical ability of dalaran’s surviving mages to embue a new one?

I don’t know why he just doesn’t levitate, or have a priest levitate him, the chair is dumb. I understand the “purpose” but it’s dumb in the context of this universe.

This I don’t know. Things are pretty murky story wise so Blizzard may pull something out with the number of times we have seen Medivh’s ghost…or whatever they are calling it. It would be nice to see Khadgar get a power up.

I read someplace that it will actually have lines of dialog come season 3.

Medivh isn’t dead… less that got ret coned. He hasn’t been seen since warcraft 3 but they explained his horrible plot with a old lady that followed jaina around for a bit.

…am…am I still dead? WoW lore is getting to crazy for me.

I’m really hoping the next part of the story revolves around installing a Stair Lift tm to every staircase in Azeroth so he can get around better.

Fun fact, Xal was actually a long lost level 6 Mutant.

Charles “Khadgar” Xavier is Xalatath time variant number 47

She travelled to our dimension long ago. Helping the old Aribter Zovaal gain clarity over what has been going on for millions of years.

Sylvanas did nothing wrong. She was told the secret. Khadgar has been keeping us in a massive Danger Room. We are living in a prison. Of endless fictional wars.

Well, Xal being chaotic neutral, means she does whatever she wants is going to expose the truth of our existence.

The first step was putting Khadgar back in his chair. To pull the curtain away from the wizard of Oz

But don’t worry that’s not until World of Warcraft; Raids of Future Past

Oh btw, spoliers

Yeah… I kind of accepted that no ones ever really gone. Im half expecting kind of hoping the anniversary event gives us kel’thuzard back in a non cackling Saturday cartoon villain form like in sl but rather a shrewd schemer like wc3

This would honestly upgrade the TWW story for me a bit. I disliked how neat and tidy everything was left. I feel we have no threads to really pull at for the patches now. Khadgar’s not-death was something that disappointed me. At the very least I felt he should have lost that arm, instead of ended up in a wheelchair.

Oooh i like that theory

Khadgar needs to ask Archmage Modera out on a date. She designed that wheel chair for Khadgar personally. :kissing_heart:

Low key im worried they will do something stupid like a imposter. It was super dumb in the opener for dalaren being destroyed and I can see them doing it again.

I am just sad that he was not killed off. He is one of the most hated characters.

I didn’t mind the long-lost archmage being an impostor. That just emphasized how unprepared they were for an attack on themselves. If Khadgar turns out to be an impostor, though, then we deserve to lose for not learning our lesson.
