Will it Transmog if I can’t wear it?

So, if I’m farming an old raid on this Monk and mail or plate (or a weapon type) drops, does it go into my items for other classes to Transmog or does my monk need to equip it?

Your Monk would need to be able to use the item to add it into your Wardrobe.

Exactly. Not just “wear”, but the armor has to be the type your class is supposed to wear. So, for a Monk, only Leather. I mean, you can put on Cloth, but it will not register for transmog.

And when it comes to weapons you can transmog anything that you can equip. That’s why it’s great to transmog farm on warriors as they can equip so many different kinds of weapons.
