None cares the seals were retconned in LK anyway.
Key point is, Seal of Blood and Vengeance aren’t racials they were faction based/locked.
In Sunwell the difference between them is something like 200dps people are saying.
Priest Racials are differen’t.
Also that too. They might even change Seal of Blood’s name to Seal of the Martyr for Alliance paladins in TBC.
Not sure why you’re making this statement since LK isn’t on the table here. TBC Classic and #SomeChanges is on the table.
I want my Symbol of Hope.
Sure, but if it was that big a deal they could have just tuned the two seals to be equal but no. They just absolutely destroy the thematic of blood elves. Seal of blood was designed for them because it makes sense based on their lore. It’s tied to their story. All of that is out the window now. It’s a totally braindead and cheap change. It was the laziest possible way to fix the issue. Absolutely no design work put in. Oh wait, the leads on this are programmers not designers. That’s right, their are huge changes being made and their isn’t a single game designer on the team to vet the changes.
“Horde favoritism”
I don’t play pally so I’m indifferent.
I have a feeling that even if all priests got all racials, you’d be back a few days later crying about something else lol
i don’t want a balanced game i want the game to be the same as it was
I do too. But Blizzard decided otherwise. So now I wanna know if they’re going to stick their current principles or just cherry-pick what they get to “balance” in TBC.
It was posts like this were the reason why blizzard killed unique abilites for classes in Wrath.
Not a needed change for TBC. The different priest abilities weren’t nearly as imbalanced as seal of blood/vengeance
Seal of Blood and Vengeance weren’t imbalanced.
Blizz are the ones deciding to give blood to ally.
Vengeance is the better ST tanking seal, whereas Blood is 200-250 DPS or more DPS for Ret.
Way more of a difference than Priest racials outside of Fear Ward.
This was more priest focused since priests had some special things that were in the case of fear ward more needed for some fights but in the end they removed those things in the great homogenization of Wrath becuase people complained about the minor changes in priests and the new 10 man and 25 split
Vengeance and Blood are class spells, not racials, lol.
You don’t need a spreadsheet.
378 Mp5.
15 second duration.
5 minute cooldown = 300 seconds.
15 / 300 * 378 * 5 = 94 Mp5 for the party in total, 19 Mp5 per person.
Which one you get depends on your race, bud. Same as Desperate Prayer, Chastise, Shadowguard, Feedback, Devouring Plague.
These are all class racials.
Thats nice, but the OPs reasoning is cause they’re giving both factions access to previously faction specific spells, while the priest stuff is racial dependent, basically all 3 ally paladin races get vengeance, Belfs are the only ones to get blood because they’re the only paladin race for horde.
Correct. The faction/race distinction is a moot point. A red herring. Doesn’t matter.
If they’re going to shove any Alliance/Horde dichotomy off the table just because, then by principle they should go all the way. Why are folks just okay with the cherry-picking what is or isn’t balanced in TBC?
Explain Fear Ward, then. Hell, Devouring Plague after that in WotLK, on top of Desperate Prayer being made into a talent?
It seems even back then Blizzard was of the mind to remove the racial requirement for some of these spells, and giving Paladins both seals was simply following that same mindset, regardless of your pedantic distinction between “racial” and “faction.” You realize the factions are literally separated by race, yeah?
So many flavors available, why are you so salty?
