Will Healbot or similar addons work in Classic WOW?

Will Healbot or similar addons work in Classic WOW? Just a simple question I can’t find an answer for.

Healbot in its original form won’t work (the one that shows you the lowest health raid member and you just click to heal). But healing addons will definitely exist.

Thanks.

We might be talking the same thing here.

But, what about the Healbot grid which shows the health of every player in the group/raid and you click on their names to heal (obviously different click types choose different heals - right click/left click/etc)?

If the above won’t work, why is that?

What healing addons will work that are similar to what I described above?

That will work just fine. Basically, anything that makes decisions for the player (OG Healbot, Decursive, etc) won’t work in classic.

AWESOME! This is great news. You made my day. Thank you!

No offense but if you need Healbot to heal in vanilla, you’re pretty awful at the game.

Most healers can function 100% fine with just click-casting or mouseover heals. You don’t need auto healing addons.

No one asked for your negativity in this thread. The guy was just asking a question.

No one asked for you to backseat moderate. I answered his question.

Except you didn’t. You just made a blanket statement about healers using addons that contributed nothing to the thread.

Welcome to a public forum where people can say what they want.

No addon from Vanilla works. No addon from Private Servers works. We are getting a modified version of the Modern client, so Healbot Continued will mostly work, with a few tweaks.

Yeah, Healbot Continued. Naming shortcuts were never a problem till we were going back to when Healbot was the addon.

From his replies, before yours even, it’s clear he’s not talking about auto healing. So you really didn’t answer the question at all.

The Healbot that many people are more familiar with was the post-automation one. It was basically a combination of raid frames (like Grid) and click-to-cast (like Clique).

I don’t know how the default UI raid frames looked in vanilla, but they were painful to use in TBC and Wrath. I remember healing dungeons in vanilla where I either was using the Function keys to select party members or moving the mouse trying to click on party portraits.

Healbot Continued put all the players and pets in the group in a single simple rectangle, showed me their health, resource if I set that, debuffs. I manually set up all the click-to-cast options picking what spell, what rank, and remembering all the Alt, Ctrl, Shift modifiers.

The hate for healbot continues. Because it has bot in the name I was ostracized for using it in vanilla. It just put all of the party in 1 place and you assigned mouse buttons for spells. It auto healed nothing. I thought it was understood that it was more like clique back then. You still had to heal and watch mana. Nothing auto at all.

I never used healbot as when I first started to raid heal it felt really clunky and limited in options, had no clue that eventually it became a semi automated healing addon.

I loved the Grid and Clique combo but I don’t think Clique has come back afaik, however Vuhdo is available. Its both raid frames and mouse over healing in one. If you’re willing to take the time to sit and sort through it then you can get a lot of great control in healing.

*no offense

Vuhdo does the same thing as mouse over macros, it’s just more convenient with less setup

Clique is back… I’ve been using it. So far so good

Where did you download your addons from? I need to pick up a few. Thanks!
