Will future raids be puggable?

Easily puggable until Naxx, but that’s only because the hardest part about Naxx will be the attunement for most folks.

Remember, private servers didn’t know many values for certain things, they guessed a lot. Thus the raids were tuned harder than in actual vanilla.

Personally, I’d be okay if Blizz did some tweaks to make raids more difficult. But I’m sure the #nochanges crowd would start barking.

Wut?

Raids have always been, and will always be “puggable”. Your question is a bit confusing.

Retail raid if u wipe is easier to replace player, less amount of players, when you wipe you are back in the fight in about a minute.

If you wipe in classic or ppl leave it can take 10mins to hours.

Up through AQ40, sure. You’ll need some coordination for the twin emperors and C’thun, though. And relying on pugs for Thaddeus, Heigan, or Four Horsemen in Naxx is going to be pure pain.

Wait, what?
You mean the gold cost depending on your reputation level with AD?

Pretty sure it’s gold and arcane crystals and nexus crystals if you are not exalted, but we all have plenty of time to hit exalted before then. That’ll be pretty expensive for some

Lag and potato pc are no longer a handicap for that fight like back then. Should be cheesecake.

Classic has some hard gear checks it’s not really about skill just raw stats really.

Can’t speak for retail but doubt gear is holding anyone back from clearing content.

There is no way people are going to pug and clear AQ40 or higher.

I want to say that BWL will not even be puggable but given how easy MC was I am skeptical. If BWL is tuned properly it will not be puggable.

ZG and AQ20 sure.

Depending on your Argent Dawn rep:
Below Honored: Go farm, and then come back to talk.
Honored: 60g, 5 Arcane Crystal, 2 Nexus Crystal, 1 Righteous Orb
Revered: 30g, 2 Arcane Crystal, 1 Nexus Crystal
Exalted: Free

The lockout system will be the biggest barrier to pugs, not the fights themselves.

Omg yes. I still have nightmares.

classic wow has a progression raid system you need mc gear for blw and you need bwl gear for other raids ect…ect.

you think a bwl raid is going to take you if you dotn have any mc gear?

my guilds first ragnaros kill 11 weeks ago had enough dps to kill patchwerk pre-enrage. Gear isn’t going to matter.

People who think we’re going to be pugging Naxx40 should remember what pugging Naxx25 was like. Naxx25 mechanics weren’t buffed much compared to the level 60, 40-player version, despite the fact that we were 20 levels higher.

It was totally doable… AND a PITA. Not because we didn’t have the gear, but because SOME of us apparently didn’t have the requisite brain cells.

With that in mind:

  1. I don’t think the average modern player that much better than players in Wrath.

  2. IIRC, Naxx40 didn’t receive any big nerfs before the TBC prepatch. Players didn’t get any huge buffs like the class reworks either. So people won’t be able to complain about us playing a “nerfed vanilla” at that point.

  3. Naxx mechanics are no joke. Everything hits VERY hard on level 60 players and takes a lot of DPS. Like I said above, they didn’t have to buff the instance much when they moved it to level 80.

  4. Naxx also fit in with other Wrath instances because it was so much more mechanically complex than anything else in vanilla. Don’t get me wrong. It doesn’t hold up to modern raids… but it’s not exactly a bunch of tank’n’spank fights either (with a very obvious exception).

My retail character still has instruction macros for those fights. (from wrath when it was very puggable)

Not ones I can share on these forums, sadly…

What 35 warriors and 5 priest? Lmao

nope, by modern standards a fairly traditional raid.
7 dps warriors
4 rogues
4 hunters
4shamans
6 priests
7 mages
3 locks.
numbers are rough as our raids changed abit since our first rag kill.

Only 4 rogues? Damn how you manage that one. Almost every raid I’ve gone had like 12 rogues azz pulling since they all fighting for top dps.

like I said, we have a realisticish raid set up and still beat the hard enrage timer on patchwerk before it’s even released.

Game has voice comms
They work fine
No excuse not to communicate
