In Vanilla the dungeon meeting stones did not have the feature to summon party members.
Will Classic have this same feature, or will it adopt the Summoning aspect which was introduced later on in patch 2.0.1?

It’s only a definitive statement because it was a TBC feature, not a vanilla one.

No because it wasn’t in vanilla. The introduction of summoning made people lazy. I remember trying to get people to head to old raids like Sunwell. Even getting 1 other person to head to Isle for a clear was painful during cata.
“How do i get there again?”
“Take Shat Port and then take Isle port or take the FP”
“Okay”
…10 minutes later
…18 people in raid
…
“Anyone coming”

Having played vanilla, and knowing how much of a pain in the butt it was to find a group and get the group to the dungeon, my opinion is to keep the meeting stones out of classic. Would I be upset if they put the in, no. But if they want the classic feel they need to keep them out.
Meeting stones? What are they for? Having meetings at before going into the dungeon not for summoning silly that’s why you have closets I mean warlocks…
So the meeting stones were in vanilla and they were there because initially the stones (and Innkeepers) were used as a rudimentary LFG system. It was a very bad system though because it grabbed the first 5 people regardless of class/role and put them in a group. So the LFG system was scrapped but the meeting stones were left there.
As a warlock. I’m just begging to be needed. Somebody please click this portal!

They were also a useful indicator that a dungeon was nearby too.

I hope they use the meeting stones to summon, would save a bit of time occasionally.
Only fix I would advocate for the game, clearly it was broken and not working as intended.

Nah it would only lead to lazy people requesting or even demanding summons.
The willingness to run to an instance was a good indicator of intent to complete the dungeon.

Meeting stones in vanilla were stones where groups met before going into the instance. A lot of the instances have elites stationed between the instance portal and the meeting stone. This made meeting stones the perfect starting point for groups.
