I know Dragonflight is releasing at the end of this year. That said I play WoW on a MacBook Air, 2020 edition. I’m concerned but will the new UI work on my MacBook?
Given that on a 2020 MacBook Air you kinda have to play on the lowest settings NOW, I suspect you’re gonna want to upgrade for DragonFlight.
It may run, but I suspect it’ll be an agonizing experience to play on that device.
Not for nothing, but for what it’d cost to get a new Mac to play on you could probably get 2 or 3 decent gaming PCs built.
If you want assistance with a build recommendation, BT mean and I’ll put something together for any budget you give me (within reason - not gonna get a $500 gaming rig no matter what platform it is).
I pulled up the specifications for a Macbook Air 13-inch 2020.
Your system is below the minimum for the Processor and above for video, you meet the minimum for memory.
The Processor requirement for Shadowlands and Dragonflight are nearly the same, so if the game is running fine for you in shadowlands it may run fine in Dragonflight.
Now these are the minimum, which means it should run, but gameplay performance will vary.
My statement is based on the fact that the system requirements have been edging up with ever XPAC.
If it’s playable now, it’s barely so. I suspect it’ll be unplayable (in fact if not technically) in DragonFlight.
