The title Scarab Lord and the Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal (a.k.a. "black bug mount") are obtained by completing Bang a Gong! The first player realm-wide to complete the quest opens the gates of Ahn'Qiraj. More than one player per realm may still complete the quest and receive both title and mount, provided they do so within ten hours of the gates opening.
So does anyone know? I would love to see this happen. We need more Scarab Lords.

There were no titles in vanilla. The mount will still be there, though.

so if they're going to progressively release raids and events, won't it not feel like vanilla since we're already going to be in the last patch instead of the patch relevant to each raid?

It was a question asked during the Blizzcon WoW Q&A. The answer was that nothing will transfer from classic to BFA because they want people playing the game because they enjoy it, not for rewards.
They are going to do Classic in staggered content patches to try and mirror Vanilla some what.

because most players who want to will stomp all the content asap.
the game just was way easier back then in terms of raiding mechanics.
the only reason it seemed hard was because of the following.
1. 40 man raids
2. people with bad internet/computers
3. people with little to no gaming experience
4. less knowledge about the game.

i think it doesn't say the length of time before each stage (as i just went to go find the link and didn't re-read it :P). it'll be nice because i wasn't there for the opening of the gates.
i do wish we would get the vanilla AV map when they open bgs, but it seems like it'll be the 1.12 version right off the bat :(.

Basically the gates will be closed, If you open the gates and ring the gong, you won't get the mount on live.
