If they do launch BC and Wrath, here’s my thoughts:
They should be separate servers from the Classic servers, and Classic characters should get a one-time COPY option.
I say one-time copy so you can’t spam-copy the same toons to build up easy gold.

Go look for the developer reddit ama they did like a week or two ago. They state they aren’t opposed to doing BC but aren’t sure right now basically

Id like to play BC, i quit WoW back when 60 was the cap.
They’re adding Burning Crusade next week!
I don’t understand why they would do this. The whole point of classic was to bring back the game and allow people to play the original version. There is no point going past that. If you want to play TBC or other expansions there are guilds that have level caps and raid those old raids and such. Yea it’s not the exact same but I don’t see why they would do that. The game was changed dramatically with each expansion and people who love classic would be angry as the things that made classic so unique would be removed with each expansion they added in.
I would be thrilled with a BC expansion but way down the road please then a wrath one even further…
Too many people dont want TBC servers, the only way they could do it with separate servers. Not sure if they want to have 3 or more version of the same game running.
Can we please not focus on these questions when we’re only a week into Classic?

They just recently did an interview where they said that the vast majority of the work for potentially getting TBC and LK up and running is already done, as the modifications to the client to get the old data working were already done, so it would a LOT faster to do TBC or LK.
I think, if Classic is successful, theyll run (Separate) TBC and LK servers, eventually, with the potential to transfer a Classic character to TBC servers when they launch, and to transfer a TBC character to LK servers when they launch.

If classic becomes a stable, popular game. I hope that they adopt an old-school Runescape approach of adding new content. Give the players voting privileges on brining in new stuff.
If something gets through, cool. If it doesn’t, it gets shelved (for at least a decent-while). For implementing new expansions, if they do. I hope they at least preserve some of the vanilla servers.
After phase 6 I hope they add new contents entirely and not TBC. I liked TBC then but I think its much more interesting to do an alternate universe for Wow i.e. a new Classic (plus no flying mount please).
I would LOVE IT! If they add something new to world pvp. Perhaps a territory control or castle siege style gameplay. That way they dont have to make a lot of new assets. Anyhow looking forward to experiencing the new past.
Im like you I watched my dad play tbc when I was in elementary and would like to experience it for myself, and possibly wrath later on.
I hope not. I’d rather move on to a Classic+ with new story arcs, content, and no level increase.
First, classic isn’t the smash hit people are making it out to be… sure, your server is full, but pay attention, there isn’t many servers.
Vanilla was never meant to be a twink 60 game forever.
Yes, it’s fun to play old content again. It won’t be fun to play it again, and again, and again.
They say is possible if people want it. I hope so, it would be a step closer to the greatest expansion, which is WOTLK.

I’d like Classic to stay classic and not go to BC, I’d like to roll multiple characters.
Still, it was about 3 years before BC.

As classic dies down in a few years you can consolidate those servers into a handful and keep them like that for those who want it. Then open TBC servers for a few years. As that dies down a few years after that open WofLK servers and keep a few consolidated TBC servers. Stop at WTLK.
Have a few classic for those who want it, few TBC for those who want it and few WofLK for those who want it. Allow transfer up Classic to TBC to WotLK but never down. So people/guilds can always progress upwards if they choose.
